Impressive cable, alarm takes some learning

Impressive cable, good deterrent, but most of the time, the alarm doesn't arm when I insert the cable into the hole, making no beeps at all. Sometimes it will. Don't know what's up. Also, the key with the button doesn't do anything. When I press the button, the LED goes on, but I don't hear the alarm make any beeps. Also, key doesn't go smoothly into the keyhole, sometimes you have to wobble and try hard to get it all the way in. Correction: pressing the red button 5 times seems to reset the alarm, and then it beeps when I lock the cable.

After my last grill was stolen, I threw this ...

After my last grill was stolen, I threw this lock on my outdoor new outdoor grill. The appearance alone of this lock should be a theft deterrent. If not, the alarm will send any would be thieves running. It's heavy duty and seems to be quite durable.

Batteries not included, Not sure if it works

Product was advertised as having batteries on the package. I pressed the buttons repeatedly but came to find out batteries were *not* included and required maneuvering around a screwdriver to put in. Now the batteries are in and the alarm only sounds when I lock it...not when I shake or move it around. I'd return it but I really don't want the hassle.

Batterie not included and lock seems used

Batteries not included (it should be as advertised) and The lock was dirty and oily and several scratch on the plastic case of the lock. Seems it has been used before. I m reporting to Amazon.
