Great Cheap Gift Wrap Organizer

I was looking for a solution for gift wrap items. I had them crammed into one of those gift wrap bags but things always get crushed and you can't see eveything you have. Those bags also don't accomodate a large amount of items. I found a wall/door-mount solution I loved online at The Container Store but it was $160! So I was on the hunt for a more reasonably priced solution. Closetmaid to the rescue. For about $50 it's the perfect solution. They don't advertise this as a gift wrap solution and I think I know why. Because the mounting track on the wall (or door) is about 1/2" deep. That creates a 1/2" deep gap behind the baskets. No problem if you're putting in cans in the kitchen or bottles in the laundry room but, cards and gift bags and tissue can fall through that gap. I simply grabbed some 2" wide clear packing tape and ran it horizontally across the gap forming a little bridge between the wall and the basket after it was fully installed. Problem solved. I could probably use some cardboard or plastic and cut a liner to put in the bottom of each basket and solve it as well but the tape worked great, it's clear and a quick cheap solution. There are other similar systems like this but if you're going to use them for gift bags and wrapping paper make sure they include the adjustable braces for tall items. This is the key to holding tall gift bags and rolls of gift paper securely in place. I also took some spools of curling ribbon and stacked them onto a narrow cardboard gift wrap roll. They help utilize the long tall lower basket perfectly. Without the security bar for tall items, this wouldn't work. The other similar products only have the baskets and not this bar, so they aren't an option for a gift-wrap solution. Also, I have read some reviews saying it's not very sturdy. To that, I would say they are not installing the track bars correctly. There is even a 7-second video listed showing how the product is the worst, but all it does is show how they installed it incorrectly because they didn't secure each track. There is plenty of hardware included for all kinds of doors and walls. If you use the toggle bolts provided and secure each track, individually to the door or wall it doesn't move one bit. I do suggest measuring twice and setting up the baskets before you screw in each track to make sure the desired slots to lock in your baskets are free and you can see where to install your hardware. I set mine up on the floor first with the tallest of the items I wanted in place in the baskets and then put some blue tape where the slots would be used on the track. I'm so happy with this rack! It's such a great economical solution installed on a previously unused wall inside my closet. Now when I open up my closet door I get to see all these bright cheery items on the wall and it makes me happy.

The sections can be used separately

This is great! I bought this for my kitchen but I ended up using it in my bathroom. I realized you can use this as 1 piece or separate the sections to fit your space. So I used 2 together to add more storage next to my bathtub (I have no shelves inside the tub so I preferred this over drilling into to the tiling or getting one of those flimsy shower organizers). The 3rd section I installed next to my sink. It works great and is easy enough to install with my cheap little Ikea drill. I'll be buying more for the rest of my house.

Pantry organizer

You need tools to help put it together, but it’s easy to put together and it holds a lot of products. It has hooks to hang it from the top of the pantry door, but does not hook at the bottom. Great for lightweight items like spices, boxed items, holding boxes of baggies, foil, chips, etc.

Awesome shelving - exactly what I wanted

I did not follow the directions. Your installation will not look like mine if you do. I have a small kitchen with no pantry. These shelves turned a useless wall into the best pantry I have ever had. I can actually find stuff now, nothing is hiding behind other stuff. The handle on my fridge sticks out further than these shelves do. I purchased three of these sets because I wanted extra shelves. I also left vertical space between the sections to add even more storage space. I used drywall anchors and screws at the top and bottom of each standard. I did not use any toggle bolts. Each set includes six standards and eight shelves. My pictures show ten standards and 21 shelves. I have the remaining three shelves on another wall with two standards. I have six standards and a bunch of parts left over.

Perfect for assisted living home

I bought this adjustable door rack for my elderly mother, who recently moved from her four-bedroom house into an assisted living home. Although her new apartment is very pretty, it's also very small. There is no storage at all in her bathroom, so Mom was having a hard time finding a good place to store her toiletries and other personal items. This door rack was just what she needed. Following reviewer "Twoozle's" great suggestion, I installed it with upside-down Command hooks, which keep it from swinging or shifting when the door is opened or closed. The baskets were easy to install at different heights, and it's also easy to reposition them as needed. The rack seems very sturdy and should last a long time. Now Mom's belongings are neatly organized and out of sight. She especially likes the adjustable wire supports to keep taller items (such as a bottle of mouthwash) from falling out. Now her small countertop is free of clutter, and her bathroom always looks nice and neat if someone stops by to visit unexpectedly. She likes it so much that I'm thinking of buying one for my house!

If you’re thinking about it, just buy it!!

It was time to organize my cleaning closet and this door organizer CHANGED MY LIFE. It’s so satisfying to see everything right in front of you instead of jammed on a shelf and having to pull individual things out to find what you’re looking for. Great quality, great price, 10/10 recommend. Just purchased 2 more of these in 12” for my pantry doors and can’t wait to do more organizing!

Great space saving storage

This product is great well made and enables you to create wall or door storage utilising areas which you wouldn’t have normally. In my opinion the only downside is the cost. That said if you was to purchase timber and fixings to build your own it would be considerably more.

Redid my Pantry

Pretty much perfect for space I had available. Sturdy enough for the kinds of bottles, bags, and cans that fit in the racks. Didn't use the single wire supports because nothing seems to be tall enough to need them. My one concern, and hence the missing star, is the fact that the vertical rails are three pieces instead of one or two. It's really easy to get a sort of compounding error where the first section is off by just a bit, but by the last section it's off by a lot! I'd recommend always measuring 17" horizontally between rails to ensure that the baskets will fit all the way along the rails, even if they're not perfectly vertical everywhere.

Would highly recommend

This unit was perfect for hanging all my crafts supplies out the way, freeing up space. Easy to connect and just pop it over the door. Downside it still needs fixing to the door otherwise it flaps about a bit when opening and closing door

Best kitchen space-saver!

Quick and easy to put together! We hung it send screwed in a few places to keep it from moving. Holds quite a bit of weight and is adjustable to whatever height you want to make the shelves. Definitely recommend!
