FS-1-100ST with the circular base (left) fits my unit
Amazon marked both these filters as being sold by Rusco. Not sure if it is true. The one on the right is slightly larger. I didn't notice the difference, over tightened, and repaired the trapper system. By the time I needed the filter, it was past the return window. I will buy the one on the left with the circular base and stay away from the one with claw feet in the future. It was a memorable repair day.

This is great for filtering out well water
This is great for filtering out well water. The one we'd had for years clogged up frequently. This is so much better! My water pressure stays up so much longer and I no longer find grit in the tub. Great find!

These filters will last damn near forever if cleaned with oxalic acid after every filter change.
These spindown filters work great for catching all the large chunks from my well water and extend the lifespan of my spun water filters. I ran these polyester filters for a while before switching to stainless steel ones which I liked better because I could scrub them and reuse them. I have a lot of sand, white sulfer, and rust/rust bacteria in my well water. It makes quick work of blocking up filters. In the past when I used these polyester filters I had to throw them away after use as I could not clean them properly without damaging them so I switched to stainless one which have worked well for reuse.. but still suffered from quick blocking (usually within a few weeks)... Then I found a great video on youtube on how to clean and reuse the filters that has worked amazing for me... Amazon won't let me post the link, but if you search Youtube for "Seekthetruth" channel and look for the video "How We Clean and Reuse Our Wholehouse Water Filter" you'll find a good video explaining it all. Basically order some "OXALIC ACID 99.6% crystals" from Amazon, then use your kitchen scale to measure out a 62.5g of acid per gallon of water (I used 33g in a 2l coke bottle). When servicing your filter drain the housing then flush out the lower clear half of the housing and the filter getting as much muck out of it as possible. After that, place the filter in the clear lower housing, and pour the acid into the center of the filter until the lower hosing is full. Let it sit for there until the oxalic acid dissolves all the rust and staining in the housing and filter. It will completely clean both... When the housing is clear again, and the filter white again, pour the acid back into the bottle (you can reuse it several times), completely flush and neutralize the acid from the filter and housing.. and reinstall or set on the shelf until you need to swap filters again. Seriously though.. check out Seekthetruth's youtube vid for the full process... the trick works fantastic and will let you continue to reuse the same filters over and over without having to buy new ones. Really happy I found that video.

Sediment Filter
Wasn't sure if this would get clogged up with sand, but it did not.
