Description is not accurate but it should work

I purchased this in July 2022. Like several other reviewers I received a jag with brass threads turned as part of the main part of the jag, not a separate steel threaded stud. It should work OK but obviously brass is not as strong as steel. If this was for 8x32 threads which are smaller, this would not be acceptable. 10x32 should be strong enough for my needs. The product description should be updated to accurately describe what's being sold here.

Good quality, works well in the Springfield Rifled Musket and Enfield, a little shorter than I like but works just fine.

Jag DOES NOT have a steel threaded stud. I decided to try it anyway due to some of the positive reviews and the JAG BROKE OFF INSIDE MY BARREL. Not a happy camper. This seller needs to fix their description if they are going to continue to sell this inferior jag without a steel stud. Very misleading and they have had plenty of time to fix this issue.

Pro-Shot .58 Cal. Jag - Screw Is NOT Steel

I ordered this jag believing it was made with a steel screw on a brass jag. The item arrived, and it is NOT a steel screw, it is brass, formed as part of the jag itself. No big deal you say, but if you pull hard on the jag when using a cleaning rod in the gun barrel, and due to the stress, the brass screw threads STRIP OUT, you are now stuck with a broken jag still lodged hard in the barrel - and no easy way to pull it out. Not good, especially when the idea was for the jag to clear the barrel. I wouldn't have bought this if I'd known they were going to switch the item - the description even says it's made with a steel screw. They sent me one with a brass screw instead. I'd send it back, but I think it would cost more to return. Me not happy.

No Steel Thread

Description clearly states and shows steel threaded shank for extra strength which is the reason I purchased it. Not true. The one I received is all brass including threads. Not happy

Jags received do NOT have a steel threaded shaft as indicated in the listing (and which I wanted, which was my specific reason for ordering.) The jags received have a much weaker brass shaft, which I have had break off easily on similar jags in the past, leaving a stub in the threaded end of the rod which can be difficult, if not impossible, to remove. Will be returning.
