Pleasantly surprised, good enough for me!
I was very hesitant buying this costume based on the previous reviews, but after trying the Deluxe Batman Muscle Chest (Large) and discovering it was too small for my 5'11" frame (lets just say it very tight in the crotch area), I decided to give this a try given Amazon's excellent return policy and the price drop from the Hundred twenty dollars it used to be. I think my reaction was pleasant surprise when I opened and put on the costume. I ordered the Standard "Medium" size for my 5'11" frame, my waist is 33"-34" and everything fit snug. Bodysuit is nice material, easily nicest part of the costume. It stretches where it needs to, is not see-through, nice zipper 3/4 zipper on the back, nice snug turtle-neck collar. Bat logo is sewn on, mine was slightly crooked as indicated in previous reviews, it is a bit higher than I'd like, but is still visible with the cape on which is what all that matters to me, I suppose you could rip the stitches out and move it down a tad more, but I'm not that picky. Cape is nice, maybe a tad smaller than the pic, but does have double material stitched together, it velcros in the front above the bat logo. Gloves are okay, I have smaller hands so they don't fit as well and I can see how the fit per finger could use a bit of work/refinement. The briefs I don't like as much, but they fit okay for my waist. they stretch enough for me and are still baggy which I don't mind too much. Belt is nice, has riveted pouches and the bat buckle had plastic protector wrap on it, belt has velcro on both ends as is meant to be velcro-ed in the back on itself. The boot covers were very snug on thighs with not much stretch, but I think it works with the costume. Now to the cowl, not as bad as I was led to believe, but not great which is why I mainly deducted 1 star. The "front" is the plastic found in many halloween costumes, the plastic that has that distinctive smell to it. It was thankfully not creased in any horrible way. The back cowl fabric does not stretch at all which was a problem for my big head (I'm a XL ski helmet size). Thus the cowl does not fit well, in the current state, I cannot comfortably fit it over my eyes as intended. It did seem to fit my Fiancées' smaller head quite well, so obviously its a fit issue for some people and not for others. I'm not sure if the XL size costume has a larger head. You can use a stitch ripper and strategically remove some of the stitches to let out the fabric a bit more. The bat ears are molded in the plastic and is just okay. I actually prefer the cowl in the "Deluxe Batman Muscle Chest" a bit more because the foam gives a bit more for my face, but it doesn't match the color of this costume. In all, it its current price range, I think its a good value for the price I paid (Eighty-Five Dollars) considering how elaborate you can get with this classic 1966 costume, I was tallying up the potential cost of doing this all DIY from scratch, but once you add up the body suit and cowl in particular, you are easily above $100-150. I was looking at buying custom tights online and then having to dye it! So is this an 100% authentic costume, of course not, but I think its reasonable now in this price range and it seems they have fixed the major issues. So if you were initially scared away by all the other reviews, I would give it a second look and buy from Amazon (not sure if other sellers have cleared out old stock or not) given the prime shipping and easier returns, should you need to.

Not perfect but still cool
The mask is super wonky . Not recommended for anyone with a larger head . The boot cover gimmicks aren’t the best either but they get the job done . The rest of the costume is solid (despite no bat-zipper in the front of you have to pee) ! The utility belt is amazing and it’s worth the entire purchase just to have that ! If you want it for legit cosplay you may want to add some things to make it look more authentic. If it’s for a halloween costume you’re all set and will get a lot of “hey sweet Batman costume” comments .

HOLY BAT-DUD, BATMAN!!!!!!!
Let's start with the CONS. It is listed that the costume runs small. I am 6ft tall, around 170lbs. I usually wear a large, and considering that it runs small, I ordered an extra-large. Big mistake. The blue bat-underwear, once put on, looked like a a nice, big, blue diaper. It was as though the costume should be labelled, "Adult-Baby Batman." I'm not sure what the underwear is like for sizes M or L, but if you are not very much overweight, ignore the "runs small" comment, and do not order an XL. The color. The color of the boots, cape, and glove are all too bright a blue. They don't matchup with the Adam West costume color scheme. The cape is okay... but JUST okay. The gloves... terrible. They are much too big. You'd WANT the gloves to be tight fitting, but they're not. I imagine this has nothing to do with the size I ordered. I imagine all of the gloves are one standard size: big and clumsy looking. The mask: pure Sh*t. It's rubbery, but too small with inaccurate placement of the ears (they should be placed further back on the mask), and just doesn't really cut the mustard. This is an important part of the costume, obviously, but I wound up going to my Halloween party as Batman sans mask, because I would have felt too ridiculous wearing that thing. And that's saying something.... because when you're dressing up as Adam West's Batman, you probably don't mind looking somewhat ridiculous. The PROS. The gray bodysuit and bat symbol are great. Some have complained of the symbol being crooked or placed too high. I was very happy with mine. If you are building your own batsuit, but don't want to have to go through the trouble of buying a separate gray bodysuit, purchasing a stitch on bat symbol and then affixing said bat symbol to the bodysuit, picking this costume up isn't a bad move. The belt. You can buy replica utility belts for much more $$ and I'm sure the pouches/pockets on those will open up whereas the pockets/pouches on this one will not, but as a purely cosmetic utility belt... this one is A-OK. It's probably the best thing about this costume. It "buckles" via velcro. Looks great. So, in summation... even if you're not too picky about details, you still may be upset with this costume. BUT... it's an okay starting point for building your own Batman costume if you're willing to put some work into it. I spent three minutes fashioning my own cape from a dark blue bed sheet and a safety pin... and it looked infinitely better than the cape the costume came with. I wore dark blue store-bought underwear in place of the diaper. I didn't have time to purchase another mask, BUT... taking parts of this costume (the gray bodysuit and utility belt), and combing it with the '66 Batman replica cowl sold by Mattel... then adding an alternate cape (blue bed sheet), gloves, underwear, and boots... and you can fashion yourself a damn fine Batman costume. It's a damn shame though that for around 70 to 100 bucks, you only have the bare bones of an Adam West style costume.

60’s Batman
The suit is awesome. The mask / headpiece could be better. The rubber was crushed and misshapen.

Looks great, smells bad and requires alterations
Heads up the mask is tiny and not flexible. I bought a blue hood and had to cut the back of the mask off. Also, all the rubber/latex items (especially the belt) have a horrendous smell that's very overwhelming. Everyone around me was bothered by it. The underwear don't fit well and I used garbage ties to make them tighter. The costume with all my adjustments and workarounds looked legit. Just don't wait to the last minute to try it all on.

Brutal
The only thing that is true to the advertised photo is the belt (bang on) the rest of this costume is absolute trash. The mask came folded into itself with a permanent crease. I had to stretch is over a soccer ball and heat it up with a hair dryer to try and get it back to its intended shape. I had to cut one of the eye holes with an exacto knife because it was 3/4 the size of the other eye hole. The Grey suit was baggy, the gloves were the weirdest fit of all. I don't think they were intended for one hand or the other, tight fingers, loose palms. Extra dangling fabric between a few of the digits. Oh my God the blue spandex bottoms were like nothing I've ever seen before. They fit like an xxxl used adult diaper. We had to cut them and re sew to try and salvage them. The only positive thing about this costume was its absolute comedy gold at a party. Got laughs all night especially when people learned how much I paid for it. 1/10.

Disgusting, Nothing like image, complete rip-off!
Absolute disgrace! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! The only resemblance between the image used and the actual item are the colours. Cowl: Completely different and inferior in every way imaginable! Foam ears, poorly painted front face of mask, back of mask has really poor stitching. Cape: Satisfactory but nowhere near as big, it doesn’t cover the shoulders at all. Main body suit: Satisfactory and although the batman logo is much higher on the chest than the image portrayed. Belt: Again satisfactory is being polite! Superglued together and bits falling off after initially wear. Boots: laughable! These wouldn’t fit around a small ladies legs and I don’t have large calves. Overall rating: 4/10 and for £100 this is easily overpriced by £70. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!

Nope
I’m of average build 6’ 190lbs. Bought standard size Only needed this for one event with some friends so I thought it would just have been easier to buy it than try and make one myself. Boy I was wrong. For the price I thought I would get something of half decent quality that would fit well enough to be comfortable in for one day. The grey leotard, belt and boot covers were the only things that fit well out of the whole outfit. For one, the blue “banana hammock” did not fit even remotely as tight as in the picture. I looked more like a 90 yr old man with a saggy @$$ that pinch a loaf in his diaper. I had to hem them to be somewhat tighter and actually roll them inwards around the thighs so they weren’t so baggy in the crotch. The gloves fit something like a huge pair of landscapers gloves. I had a hard time just picking up my phone with them, I could only imagine trying to go through my wallet or get my keys. I ended up turnin them inside out, then sewing a smaller handprint pattern in them and turning them rightside out again. After that they fit well... enough. The mask and cape needed a lot of altering as well. The eye holes in the mask had to be cut large and the fabric for the back of it had to be hemmed in so that it would form somewhat to the shape of my head instead of a deflated football. They also leave you with barely any fabric for the neck portion of the mask which is supposed to cover your neck and remain tucked under the cape. It was so short that the slightest movement of my head would cause it to pull out exposing the skin underneath. I had to sew the cape directly to the mask’s neck cover for it to stay in place. For the price I paid for this, I was really disappointed. If I wouldn’t have been so stressed for time in getting a costume, I would have returned this one. I will say one good thing about it. I’ve mastered the sewin machine now...

Holy Costume Party!
Fabulous costume! My boyfriend is 6'7" and of course the standard size would not work. We ordered the XLarge size and it fits perfectly! Needs a few alterations, the arms are a bit large but the quality is pretty amazing. The only thing I would change is the cowl, the rubber mask part was too small for his giant head so we bought a cowl replica from MattyCollector.com. Overall it's really a great costume version of Adam West's batman and much better quality and construction than the first version that came out a couple years ago- the batgirl is also pretty amazing! Happy Halloween

Definitely do not recommend.
The costume arrived late. I ordered it on the 7th of October and it arrived on the 2nd of November, but that's not even the problem. I would have kept the costume for next year because i love Batman and I love Halloween. I tried on the one piece suit and the cape, they were both good and you couldn't notice the zipper with the cape behind it. The real problem is the mask, in the picture the mask looks like it's an easy fit and comfortable to wear, in reality the back cloth piece stuck out way too far behind my head, it wouldn't tuck into the one piece suit either unless you kept your head in a locked up position, it also hurt my eyes because the holes were too small and it was a rubber that didn't breath at all, not to mention the ears were closer to the front of the head than the side. The gloves were sub par and were not a snug fit or even close and the blades on the side could not hold upright and would flop around. the boots were alright, they fit okay but the stretchy stuff you hold your shoes on with wasn't very durable feeling.
