My little guy will be dressed to rule!

I am so thrilled to have found this costume! My granddaughter has been playing dress up and princess since she was two. When little brother came along firemen and policemen was fun, but not the same as dressed up and royalty! Well, now he can jump in and take turns being in charge, he's going to be the king! The fabric is a thin polyester, trimmed in faux ermine. The crown is also trimmed in fabricated gold bands. My only concern is the crown may be too small around my little man's king size head! Also, the crown I received is nowhere near as tall as the picture. I'll plump it with tissue paper and he will be ready to rule the kingdom. I looked at a lot scepters, my concerns being how well they will hold up and if they are child sized. I chose the set of 4 by Melissa and Doug, not because they looked the most like a real scepter but because I think they will be durable and they were priced right. If your child is older and using this for more than dress up there are plenty of cool looking scepters in all price ranges. This costume is hand wash only, hang to dry. Personally I have no trouble with the thin fabric, 1) It's a toy. 2) I paid less than $10.00 for the cape and crown. 3) He will be wearing this over clothing, I want him to be able to play regardless of the weather. 4) I want to make sure, at 4, he is still interested in playing dress up with his sister. I know a year ago this would have been a huge hit, but kids interests change. 5) With the kind of play I have seen them do while his sister is dressed up I'm not worried that this cape is going to be ruined any time soon. I am very satisfied by my purchase and would recommend to anyone with littles who love to play dress up.

The kids love it

I purchased a few different types of Royal robes from other sellers on Amazon for my classroom theme. However, this purple robe and hat set was the favorite. The robe and hat is made out of a soft material and it fit nicely on my 3rd graders. Some of the parents mentioned that they could not get their child out of eat and feared it would rip in the wash. However, that was not the case at all. The hat can easily be folded along with the robe and stored in drawer. I love the black and white outline in the robe and hat, which makes this royal ensemble come to life.

My son wanted to be a king for Halloween. The included hat was awful and felt more papal than royal but the robe was great.

Perfect for my sons Royal Tea party at school.

I ordered this for my sons Royal Tea party at school. He was so freaking adorable. Love the purple "velvet". It is a decent quality for a costume so we will be able to use it for my youngest sons tea party in a few years. My boys still wear this on and off when they play dress up. I wish it came with the "belt" but I had a simple black scarf I used and it worked fine.

Everyone loved them. Just be advised

I ordered three of these king robe and crowns set for my son and two other young men from our church. The were playing the Three Kings, and these sets did the job. Everyone loved them. Just be advised, if you have taller young men, they robe is going to come to their waist...it's not very long.

Adorable costume! note that it's only a hat and robe, no scepter. Also, the pom pom at the top of the hat came off pretty quickly, but still a good product for the price.

He feels like a king!

My son asked for a king costume for christmas. He is very happy with it. The only thing I would change or fix is the hat won't stay up, there is no support. I fill it with paper to make it stand, but he still loves it :)

Very cute. My son used it as one of the 3 wise men in a Nativity play. He is 6 and it fit perfect
