Great peeler

Replacement for a 20 year old one that I didn't realize how dull it had become. This one peels parsnips, carrots, potatoes, etc. with single smooth swipes. It also does a fantastic job with the celery stalks. Definitely worth making the purchase.

okay, don't like the serrated feature

I loved my old KitchenAid peeler, and bought this because of that. Well, it seems to be the same except, it has this darn serration feature on the blades I really hate. Still, it is the usual good quality I expect from KA. Recommend anyway.

Nice but I don't love it

This is a pretty heavy-duty peeler. It's comfortable to use and I like the looks of it. I didn't realize 'til I received it that it leaves lines on the food. So it doesn't have a straight blade; it's slightly serrated (or kind of has teeth) so there are tiny lines on the food. Not a big deal but I'd prefer that it didn't have that. Also, the little blade cover that came with it - it's about impossible to put on and off. Worried I will cut myself putting it on (the irony!), I just don't use it and hope no one cuts their hand reaching for it in the drawer.

Love the serrated blade!

My first time peeling a potato - I knew I made the right choice! The serrated blade design means that the peeled potato does not become slippery and slimy - no risk of dropping it into the sink. Overall construction is great and it has held up well in the dishwasher. Very happy with this purchase.

Will not last...

It's an interesting peeler - but not a good universal peeler. It works at two ends of the spectrum of removing vegetable skins: the serrated teeth sink in deep for rough, uneven things like ginger or cassava. Those same teeth also allow for easy zesting of trick rinds like those on smooth citrus. For the common tasks like skinning potatoes or carrots those serrations make it easy to cut to deeply and waste plenty of flesh as it gets removed with the peels. Lastly, and importantly, it is heavy duty but not long lasting. The blade's swivel gets jammed over time and the top and bottom have bent away form each other in less than a year of owning it.

This peeler is super sharp...

My wife likes this peeler. She said the peeler is super sharp and easy to use. The handle is comfortable to use and it's easy clean .(dishwasher safe). KitchenAid makes great products.

Excelente producto

Superó mis expectativas, yo lo compré para lo básico, es decir, pelar frutas y verduras pero la navaja es tan buena que puede cortar alimentos suaves como quesos sin crear un desastre. Le doy 100/100. Eso sí, tengan mucho cuidado porque la navaja tiene mucho filo. Se nota cañón la calidad de Kitchen Aid.
