A great harness

My dog has been using this for about a year and it's been great! I get so many comments from people asking where I got it (more on that in a second) and the ability to have a label is great! Anyways! Pros and cons! Pros: - It looks awesome! - The handle is a great feature, and even though she's a small dog, it's very useful for keeping her still during car rides! - It's insanely high quality, it feels thick in my hand even though it's a baby size, but lightweight enough not to slow her down. The stitching is awesome quality, and I've seen NO wear after a year and a half of fairly often use. - Yeah the label is reflective, but the harness itself also has fantastic visibility (depending on the colour), and I have no worries of accidents during nightwalks, or if she were to get loose from the house and not be see by cars. - The label feature is GREAT, and actually the main reason I got the harness. I used it to put an "Ask to pet me" label for my very shy dog who is afraid of children, but still needs park walks to get her more used to people. Since then there have been no sudden grabby-hands at the park, since the parents will usually contain their kids after seeing it. Why I had to spend a bunch of money just for the luxury of giving my dog some personal space though, I'll never understand. :/ Cons: - The belly strap does seem to chafe her armpits a little, since there's no padding there at all. - Actually both straps don't really have much padding, the only thing padded really is the harness itself, the part going over her back. However I do believe they sell a padding sleeve on their German website, but only for the chest strap I think. - This is a harness that can definitely be slipped out of if the dog pulls backwards. Luckily my dog isn't the type, but just a fair warning to others. I have heard that buying their chest pad can help a bit with that though, but I'm not sure since I don't have one. - Kind of an odd one, not sure if it's a con as it depends on the person. The harness for some reason is absolutely covered in the Julius K-9 brand name. Most harnesses have 1 or MAYBE 2 labels with the name of the company, but this harness has it about 3 times, 4-5 if you count the Velcro labels it comes with. Oddly enough 2 of the labels are hidden in the product image, as on my harness they're located underneath the velcro labels. The way it's done looks kinda cool I guess, but still, why SO many brand name labels? - This isn't something the company can really control but just as a heads up, the company does seem to be located in Germany, so finding their other items or addons is sometimes difficult. Only a small amount of their items are on amazon, and getting items from their German website or affiliate websites has astronomical shipping. (I'm in the US.) Again, this isn't really something the company can help, it's just a heads up to US customers. All in all, it's a fantastic harness, and I'm excited to see how it'll hold up in the future!

Great harness for a great price

I waited anxiously for this harness and I was not disappointed. I bought it for my squirmy dog and it is a breeze to get on. It's over his head and buckled up before he even realizes he missed out on an opportunity to bite and fling himself around the room (which is great fun!). Definitely a sturdy harness and quality material. You really can't beat Julius K9. Also, the estimated delivery date was about 2 weeks from purchase, but it arrived within 4 days. So that was great as well.

Disappointed - it didn't even last two weeks

We've had this less than 2 weeks and although it looks nice the clip fasten has broken. It is completely stuck and we couldn't get it off our dog. The package was also late but amazon kindly gave us the p&p cost back which was welcomed. I didn't realise this is shipped from germany though! For the price i expected better quality to be honest. The trainer for my puppy class and several other people have also commented that this style of harness restricts their shoulder movement and can inhibit growth at a young age so we have now bought another harness, a Perfect Fit one this time which is a 'Y' shape at the front. Just as well as this one is practically unusable now unless i try and put it on over his back end! Just hope the other one arrives quickly.

Lovely quality.

I love these. Correct size for both my dogs. My girl has had 2 pink ones, the last one lasted 2 and half years and the strap where you clip the lead started to fray abit but still had months left, ordered new ones as my puppy was due a new hardness and the blue is a stunning colour, fitted him perfecting, so easy to get on and off, he's the same breed as my girl so I know it will still fit him when he's fully grown. Definitely recommend.

Sturdy harness, ignore the hype. Pay attention to size, if on bottom of scale, go down one

Great looking harnes, and the stitching is strong. Nice large 'D' ring, so no fussing about trying to clip on the lead. The name tags, that Velcro on, are glow in the dark, but by no means a true security feature. It has another Velcro pad that you can purchase an over priced loop that will hold a small torch. The 'handle that they say you can pick your pet up with, is not centred on you pets back; when you do try to pick them up, it looks like you're trying to change a shirt on them and all pulls up to their arm pits. I tried once, and will never pick him up by that again. My dog is in the overlap measurement, end of the mini range and bottom of the next; we needed to get the mini mini, as the mini did not fit well and no further adjustment was available. Easily cleaned. It is a good sturdy harness, ignore the hype

Faulty clips?

This is the second Julius K9 harness I have had, both have had faulty clips, the clip being the part where you clip it in place or unclip to remove. You can squeeze both sides in until you’re blue in the face but it won’t undo. Amazon won’t refund and Julius K9 say it’s an Amazon issue so they won’t sort this either. Replacement clip only £3 but £4.99 postage for that tiny thing? Ridiculous!
