The title doesn’t lie

This truly is the world’s greatest potato masher/mixer. When I first removed it from the package I thought it wasn’t all that impressive and wouldn’t hold up and be difficult to clean. I couldn’t have been more wrong. This mixed up pancake batter like a dream and mashed sweet potatoes and Yukon gold potatoes with minimal effort from me. Cooking here can be from 2 to 16 people and it does remarkably well with the larger portions too. I know a mixer can be used, but we prefer hand mashed as we like to leave some small lumps of potatoes for texture. The first time I used it for 2 servings of potatoes the were creamy but spouse missed the texture. Clean up was a breeze, but know that I typically wash my cooking utensils right after use so nothing has a chance to dry on and make scrubbing it off harder than it needs to be. This is a gem that is used regularly in our kitchen and if it comes up missing I searching every household of our adult children until it shows up. Just to protect ours, think I may be purchasing one of each of them too since they love using mine when the help cook at our house.

Oh I mash, I mash hard. This little tool is up to the task. Very happy with it. Guess what else? Graham crackers crushed for pie crusts? BAM! Put them in a cup and go BAM! Guac? SQUISH! Might buy another to double squish.

A great masher

I use this masher for potatoes. Have used a vintage masher for years. When it wore out, I was looking for something that could do as good a job. This masher is easy to use, sturdy , and does a good job at mashing potatoes. This masher will never wear out. It will outlast me. Would make a great wedding gift.

Great masher, but...

This is great for mashing potatoes, vegetables and so on. The round masher head allows you to get to the edges in bowls as opposed to some with square mashing heads. The masher head also allows you to turn, twist and mix a little as well. It is very effective and does a really good job. My only complaint is the grip. It is stainless steel with no gripping surface at all. If your hands are even a little wet or have some food on them, your hand will slip a lot. That makes using this masher quite difficult. Simply wash and completely dry your hands before using it, then you should have little problems. The masher is strong, durable and the masher head design is great. It is very versatile and does a great job. If they would have added some etched gripping marks in the handle, it would be perfect. But as it is, I can only give it 3 stars. Sometimes the smallest things can make a big difference.

GREAT MASHER AND WHIP COMBO

Easy clean potato masher that I bought to replace my 20 year old gadget that finally expired. Dishwasher cleans it to sparkling perfection. It works well as a whip, when you want creamy potatoes or veg.
