On the plus side, this headband has a little more 'bun bulk' than the wig that comes with the complete costume packages and the color is decent. It is also shipped with hairnets over the buns which keeps them tidy and arriving in good condition. On the negative side, well, mostly it's about the headband. It's not likely to blend with your natural hair and it's not adjustable which means you can't put the buns where they belong. Also, the buns are held a bit off the head so they stick out at unrealistic angles over the ears. At this point, with the party coming up, I'm trying to figure out if it's worth trying to remove the buns from this to add to the wig that came with the outfit....lets face it, those were some mighty big head buns in the movie and it would be nice to have that with the costume. All in all, this is not so great, but better than the alternative in some ways. Oh well. Next year I'll try to plan ahead earlier and shop in person. Or do something clever that does not require anything I can't make for myself. Sigh. Good costume - not so good wig

Everyone's reviews are accurate: it's a great costume but the wig is not. I bought a different wig. And I did have to layer up with light layers because it is partially see through. Other than that, NO complaints. My husband and I got married 10/10/20 and it was a huge hit as our "first Halloween" together costume!

Leave the hair nets on.

The headband worked well. Item is as pictured. The hair construction is a little cheesy across the headband and you have to be careful to not snag any of the hair. I had a little difficulty figuring out where to hide my shoulder length hair behind the ear-muff like headband at first. I had to tightly pony tail my hair, then pin curl (or wrap it) as flatly as possible just behind my ear. I read a review that recommended leaving the hair nets on, and I fully agree. I used the hair nets to keep the few fly aways on the buns tucked in as well as my own hair slipped in the back. The nets were barely visible to anyone else and kept the hair all together. The muffs were comfortable and warm, stayed in place well, and after the first try, easy to use. They were a key element for the costume, and easily identifiable.

But otherwise they're some really great Leia buns

The headband is definitely large and I had to use a lot of bobby pins to pin it to my head otherwise it would have gone flying anytime I moved my head. But otherwise they're some really great Leia buns, and an alternative to a full wig. I wanted to wear a full wig and I spent weeks looking for one but they were either too small, poorly made, or poorly kept. So I ended up returning all of them. The headband was my last resort and actually, it worked great. Kinda nice to be able to take it off without the hassle of a wig. Overall, happy with purchase.

WONDERFUL!!!!

I love this product. Me and my friend were walking outside one day when I said that my ears were cold but I didn't want to wear my hood on my jacket and mess up my hair. I said I was going to wear my ear muffs the next day. They scoffed at me and said that I would do no such thing. Every day from then on I threatened to wear ear muffs until finally on Halloween I wore these. My friend was shocked when she saw these. Not only were they ear muffs, they were princess Leia ear muffs. They have been the source of constant amusement since and nobody believes me when I say I have them (they are always shocked when I show up in them). They are a titch big and ride a little funny on the head, but they are so funny I make it work and don't notice. (be careful with them however. I could see how the hair could fall out of the hair nets. I have been very good to mine so this has never happened).

Headband run large, but the "buns" were great!

While the "buns" on this headband are absolutely PERFECT, (looks just like the picture!) the headband was way too big for my head. I actually wore it over another wig, so I had that extra layer of "hair" and it still was too big. However, I put several bobby pins on each side to hold in place. It worked. But I had to remember not to bend over and tilt my head down or it would come sliding off. I guess a Princess should never really have to bend down, anyway! ;-) The color, the buns, the shiny hair, all were spot-on. Worked great for my Leia costume!

Leia Buns, Super Fun

Pros: great color, hair looks realistic, not too heavy, speedy arrival, so many compliments. Cons: Not a true headband (no tension in the headband), I had to use at lease 30 bobby pins to hold in place, the "bun" went over my ears quite a bit, so it made it difficult to answer the phone at work. I have very long hair, so I braided by own hair into pigtail braids and pinned them into the "fake" hair on the headband. I will wear them again for future Halloween celebrations! My students loved it!

Liked great and much better than a wig

The headband was expandable so easy to fit to your head size. Not too big but big enough to be clear it was Princess Leia. Really pleased and would recommend, thought good for the price too. After I wore it it packed back in packaging easily and no damage so ready for next wear

They fit big, dont really stay on but if you use a hair clip it will stay. Other than that they look awesome .

Possibly one of the best gifts I've bought.

The person I bought this for absolutely hates star wars, so imagine the love that filled my heart when she received it. I seriously mean it, I got such a warm fuzzy feeling! Worth every penny! Oh Lol-ita! LOL! Bring it!
