Very good. I like it
This is my second the same light. First one on and off button stop working after 4 years almost everyday using. You can charge it at home and during driving. Battery last for couple days

I really like the light. Just please put a bat level indicator and a replaceable battery. Would make a good light awesome. This one has 18650 inside. Should make an 800l version with 26650 or 18650x2. Otherwise good.

Better than the Mac Tools light at almost half the price!
This light is versatile and bright! The magnetic base lets you put it where needed and the ability to angle and fold the light to meet your lighting needs is much appreciated. I like that it comes back on at the same light setting it was at when turned off. Buy 2 so that one is always charged when the other runs its battery down.

Great Flashlight. I wish it was a little brighter, but I love how it doesn’t take up a lot of space in your pocket. Swivel head is great and magnetic is strong.

Quality!!!
This is a fantastically useful light. Not only for in the garage but really anywhere you need a light, even a desktop. It has a nice strong magnet as well as a nice somewhat larger flat base so it stands on its own pretty easily. The 500 lumens seems perfect for garage usage while the lower setting is great for a desk top. There is also a third mode for just a single LED on the very top of the light bar. The quality of this light is top notch. The base and hinge are made from a durable plastic that's very rugged. It reminds me of the rugged plastic they use for Pelican cases. It seams like it could take a beating. The hinges are perfectly tightened and click into each position nicely. The base fits nicely in your had as well, comfortable and pleasingly contoured. While this isn't the cheapest work light around it isn't the most expensive. The quality and execution of this light is way above average. I've been so impressed with this light that I ordered a second one. I think you will be impressed as well.

Excellent pocket light
I've been very pleased with this light so far. I find I tend to carry it with me as soon as I go to the garage and use it more than I thought I would. I really like the fact it remembers the last setting so when you turn it back on it is the same setting as you left it. It has enough adjustability it can light up some pretty difficult areas. I flip it right over and slip over my pocket and it keeps your hands clear to work. Battery life seems to be pretty decent for the size of the light. I've had it on an hour at a time when normally I would have placed a larger work light but use this instead as it is already in my pocket and seems to last. It starts to intermittently flash when getting low so you have warning it is on its way out and to charge it up. It flashes a few times and then back to solid light and then a bit later repeats. I now have a feel for its life and just plug it every few nights if I'm using it regularly. The base magnet could be a bit stronger as it has slipped a few times when mounted upside down under dash or under a hood for example. I'd have to say this is now my favourite light and my old pocket light has not been out of the toolbox since this one arrived.

Great light
The light works very well. There is a noticeable difference between the low mode and the high mode. The top light isn't very bright, but I do not use it often enough to care. The battery life seems to last a while. I do not leave it on all the time, but I usually use it for a few hours a day on the low setting and it will last almost a full week without needing a charge. The high setting will get me a couple of days without needing a charge. The memory feature is nice as well. I don't have to push the button multiple times just to get it back to the main setting I like to use.

Excelente iluminación y batería, pero defectuoso.
La lámpara, en cuanto a tiempo de carga, duración de la pila y calidad de iluminación, funcionó de maravilla, como lo indica el fabricante o mejor. Cargaba en 3:30 horas y duraba en alta intensidad 2:05 y en baja intensidad 12:30. Iluminaba mi patio de 4x5 de maravilla, aún con la baja intensidad. Sin embargo, lo devolví por estas razones: La primera y menos importante era que evidentemente ya había sido devuelto antes, caja abierta y señales obvias de uso, el cargador estaba quebrado,sin afectar su funcionamiento. Y si sólo hubiera sido ésto me la hubiera quedado. La segunda fue que lo que dice en su manual y publicidad acerca de que puede usarse tanto con batería o con alimentación de AC es una verdad a medias (tal vez estaba defectuoso), y es que aunque la batería estaba al 100% al inicio de su uso conectado a la corriente, ésta se descargaba por completo y seguía iluminado, pero eso le quita la doble función, que yo asumí que tenía, de funcionar con AC y mantener la batería en caso de apagón, parecido a una laptop. Por último, el indicador de carga restante estaba dañado, tiene un led por cada 10%, y del 100% al 80% funcionaba aparentemente acorde con el tiempo de encendido transcurrido, después del 70% y hasta el 20% avanzaba muy rápido y se apagaban en cuestión de un 20% del tiempo real y finalmente más de la mitad del tiempo restante se quedaba en el 10%, todo esto igual tanto para alta y baja intensidad. Entonces, si por alguna razón no estabas seguro de haberla cargado al 100%, no podías fiarte del porcentaje restante para calcular el tiempo restante. Al final, no se si sea cosa de Amazon o de GearWrench, pero si algo ya fue devuelto por falla, al menos deberian indicarlo o reparalo y venderlo en su sección de reacondicionados, así uno ya sabe a que atenerse, y no esperar que alguien lo compre aplicando la clásica 'a ver si es chicle y pega' y, por el precio tan bajo como fue en mi caso, decida quedárselo aún con las fallas.

Battery lasts less than 5 minutes and dies. You can leave it plugged into ac and it works fine. Not up to the usual GW quality.

The GEARWRENCH 300 has good light, excelent magnetics and has been 100% reliable
I have a number of USB rechargeable lights, but the GEARWRENCH 300 is by far the best. It's lightweight, slim and easy to hold. The magnetic hook folds out of the way for convenience yet is so strong so it stays in position on smooth vertical painted metal walls like the side of my PC. The light coverage is excellent and the light is bright, the unit recharges from USB after removing the rubber plug which protects it from water. I am 100% happy with this worklight/handlight and use it all the time now. Definitely a superior product!
