Towels work great, but one of mine was moldy - not OK

I bought two packages of these towels in August 2021 (one year ago). Inside the plastic bag are two individual bags that contain one towel each. I opened up these bags and cut the towels lengthwise so I had a total of 4 towels. I also cut a little hole about 6" from the end so I could put the other end of the towel through it so it stayed around my neck. The towels work great. I keep them damp, in a ziploc bag, in the refrigerator. I wash them according to the directions. Well after much use over the past year, the towels started getting mildew and I tried cleaning them according to the bleach/water directions, but the mildew would not stay away for very long. So, I discarded these towels and just opened up Package #2 which I bought a year ago. Again, there are two individual bags in the package and I opened up one bag and you can look at the pictures to see what I found. Mold - BIG time. Gross. The towel in the other bag was just fine. I contacted Amazon and because it has been so long, they cannot do anything for me. I have sent an email to Frog Toggs and am awaiting a response. They do not have an expiration date on the package so who knew this could happen. So my suggestion is that you open up both bags and check out your towels. The towels have a little moisture (like when you buy a sponge). Once the bag is opened, you will have to wash and store your towels. Hoping that Frog Toggs will replace the towel that was moldy. We'll see.

Good...but...

I have an early Frogg Toggs cooling towel and it's much thicker which means it stays wetter/cooler longer. I was VERY disappointed at how thin these towels are now. They still work reasonably well, and I would definitely recommend over most other cooling towels. Just disappointed they are thinner. Sign of the economic times, I guess.

Absolutely works!

I work in the world of concrete pouring slabs and parking lots and this is a must have in the summer time! Don’t procrastinate and just spend the money you won’t regret it! It has saved my bacon in 100 plus degree weather.

Cloths stay fairly dry.

I have other cooling cloths but what I like about Frogg Toggs is that my cloths stay dry. They do a good job of cooling too.
