It stays on my dog

It stays on my dog's feet which is all that matters. Still I had to really tighten the velcro. My dog's feet is a bit longer than usual with thinner legs, so I prefer this style. The bottom is not super waterproof but it works for a temp walk after the rain. A bit hard to wash as it collects dirt a bit more than another bootie I have. But got this on sale so I kept it since I know my dog easily lost a bootie on a walk before.

good boots for the price

I bought these "all weather" boots for my 28 lb spaniel mix because her feet get too cold on walks in the snow. I highly recommend using the size chart that goes with these boots as it was true to size (my dog is often considered small-medium for products); my dog's measurements fit the extra-small. I got the bright red so they were easier to see in the dark, and the reflective stripe across the toe was also helpful. The interior lining keeps her paws from freezing and they are decently water resistant. They are especially good for keeping the toxic, and sharp, salt/de-icer from hurting her feet. I think these boots are best for mild snowfalls (1-6 inches) as the snow slips/brushes right off. Slushy conditions soak through the boots by the the end of the walk and I can only imagine it's the same for rainy weather. We rarely get big snowstorms in DC, but recently did, and the boots would come off in the deep snow. The boots can sometimes come off if she starts playing around in the snow or with another dog, and they sometimes come off if she is running. One final note of general caution - make sure you're not snagging the dew claws on the elastic portion of the boot when putting them on. Overall, they do what I need them to do in mild snowy conditions and they were a good price.

Going strong, stays on.

I purchased these booties for my cousin who lives in the apartment above me. Her 15-20lb dog (We think maybe Yorkie Schnauzer?) was refusing to go potty outside because we were in the middle of a cold snap here in Chicago. All the stores were out of booties so I decided to order some for her online as an early Christmas gift. I wouldn't call her dog x-small, but small....but since these booties do come in a lot of sizes, they had to adjust. xsmall doesn't mean your DOG is xsmall, it means its xsmall compared to their other bootie sizes! These have been a perfect fit. She uses them almost every day and has yet to have one fall off. Like I did with my size Large booties for my 110lb American Bulldog, I suggest you cut off the extra velcro if the straps are too long, it keeps them from flopping around and getting caught on things. They aren't 100% waterproof I don't imagine, but they are great for protecting against cold weather and salt. (They'd get 5 stars if they could manage to make them 100% waterproof too!)

Great quality but not for dogs with dewclaws

The quality is good. I just can’t keep them to stay on my dog’s feet. The shoes seem to fit well but they come off when my pup is walking. I have two small dogs. These do not fit my jack Russell because he has dewclaws. They are difficult to put on him so I had to order him a different style boot.

Easy to put on my dog.

These boots don't last as long as some of the other types, but they are very easy to put on. I like the Velcro wraps, but always have to cut them to fit. If I leave the over-long end, then my dog can pull them open and get them off. We use the boots on a miniature schnauzer who has bad allergies and licks his feet any chance he gets. We put the boots on him when we have to leave the house and he doesn't get to go with us. I do wish the non-slip foot bottom would last longer. Since Bear isn't wearing these outside, they should hold up better, but the non-slip part is already coming loose from the main part of the "sock top" and we've only had this set about 3 or 4 weeks. The other type has a Velcro closer on the back of the boot that does up behind the leg/paw. They tended to fit too tightly and caused Bear's paws to swell a bit. These "breathe" better and don't cause the swelling problem. Just wish they held up better.

Works well; velcro is the key.

I'm pleased that I purchased these booties for my 24 lb. mini Aussie. They are actually a size big for her, but it doesn't matter because the velcro is what makes the difference. Have to pull it really tight to make sure they don't fall off of her skinny legs. This winter has been brutal, but when it's below zero and my prissy puppy's been holding it because she doesn't like the weather outside, these booties give her enough warmth so that she can get her business done. She thinks she has super powers with them on (even though she hates having them put on)--she gallops through the snow and wants to stay out much longer than she does when she's bare-footed. At first, I thought these were a potentially silly purchase, but we've had to use them a lot during this unusually harsh winter so it's been worth it.

Dogs love them best!

These are the only shoes our dogs have just started waking in immediately without any comical dancing. They dont fuss at all about getting them on. Even our 4-month old puppy started running in them right away.

Good Inexpensive protection

I bought these for my 25 lb terrier mix to protect her paws from the Chicago sidewalk salt. The XS size was right on and of all the designs tried, these are the easiest to put on. They have rarely fallen off, mainly in deep snow when she is running full out. They wear fast on dry pavement, but a little shoe goo cement really does the trick. They also are not waterproof, but if you are looking for protection from the rock salt and a better than barefoot alternative for your basic cold weather walks - these do great. At this price you can buy two sets and alternate to dry.

Perfect for my little dog

These are so good. I was a bit concerned with the price point but I am very happy. These are reasonably well made, and light weight so they dont tend to pull off the dogs feet (we have a 14lb mini schnauzer). For her she has the XS size and they go on her feet no problem and the pads are great and not wearing down quickly and she has been good out repeatedly in -30C weather. The Velcro is easy to tighten up so they stay secure - again better than the heavier boot qualities that we tried. The only thing we did was with the extra Velcro length was to cut the excess once they were on her and we had them tight so there wasnt extra flopping around, we then used a lighter to burn any loose threads and so far they are holding up very well.

missing two boots

overall very happy with the boots the only problem i have that one package had only two bots which i did not see it when it came and now that i was going to put on my two dogs and i find out that i am missing two boots it is to late to make a claim oh well lesson learn i am still going to order more but next time i will check for quantity

The only winter dog boots that are comfortable and stay on!

These are the only boots that have worked for my dog - he hated the expensive name-brand ones, they cut into his dew claw. I've tried lots of other kinds...with grips, taller socks, you name it, but these are the most reliable and also excellent for Canadian winters. They don't last very long - we usually buy a few pairs each season, but when you think of your dog's comfort combined with all of the salt & wear and tear the boots get, it's totally worth it. The reflectors are good too for evening walks.

These Boots Stay On!

These are the BEST boots that we have purchased for our dog to date. Velcro tie band around the ankle as well as elasticized upper portion, ensure the boots stay on, even when running. Quality is excellent and very good value for the money. After trying out our first pair, it was a no-brainer to buy a second set for the future.
