It's okay

I had problems of the thing changing its direction setting unexpectedly. I was using it in a pretty severe setting. It's probably okay for gentle hand use.

Switches a little too easily

The item arrived looking like it had been dropped so I might exchange it. I used it today on my lug nuts and it handled the torque pretty well! The back drag is light and you can tell the tooth count is low, but it works. The only other problem besides it being pre-dropped is that while I'm using it, sometimes it won't twist. I realize that the switch is kind of loose and it keeps getting bumped into "neutral" or into the opposite direction. For $12 it's a good purchase, though. Would recommend.

It works but not the best

I use it to start small engines and this is my second one. The last one blew up inside. If this one goes bad I will bite the bullet and purchase a high end one. It took a pretty good beating before it broke. Not bad for the price I just wish it had a life time warranty on it. the gears in my first one are totally locked up and I have no idea why.

Worked great on my breaker bar or dual beam torque wrench! But then it wouldn't work. Had used it 10 times, I tried to replace it for lifetime warranty. But I decided to take small hex screw out of the base of it to see if I could figure this out. Inside are 6 parts, a tiny ball bearing with a spring under it, a blue moving knurled wheel (blue wheel you can see from the outside) and 2 levers L and R with a spring between them. The spring between the L and R lever has to be set to bottom of levers between the levers, there is a flat spot on the bottom if the Land R levers, that is where spring goes. I removed the R lever, held the spring tension horizontally between the L and R lever and slid the R lever back into place. I put the base of the tool back on and put the hex screw back tight. And it works great again

Works good

Works as expected. I only use it for low torque work like up to 30 ft.lbs for my old school bar type torque wrench. I do fine the switch a little on the loose side. Would be better if it was a stronger click, but still works fine. Can't tell if it will standup to high torque like when using it in a long breaker bar.

Works well, transforms a non ratcheting bar into one.

Works great, it does what it is supposed to do. Why not 5 stars? It is too easy to turn the blue color and change the direction of ratcheting. I find myself knocking it while I ratchet, bringing me to a swift stop. It could be stiffer to turn to prevent that.

Adapter was a returned/used item

The adapter did not come in new packaging as displayed on website. It was scratched and it’s either a return or used item. I’m finding this to be an issue with many customers who write reviews. Disclose it’s a return and discount the product. Don’t sell it as new. I hate returning purchases as it’s a waste of everyone’s time and money.

Great Price

Most breaker bars do not come with a ratcheting head and very happy to have found this tool for such a great price. Been looking for a while and most are 4 times the cost of the Performance tool. Just received and have completed a winter tire change over - rugged and sturdy build, works as advertised. Highly recommend this product.
