Nice color return!

It works REALLY well!! It makes the faded ginger pop. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive. That’s where the 5th star is lost

Orange tone

The smell was absolutely beautiful, and the quality was great. It didn't stain my hands or shower curtains. You can tell it was made well! But the tone was either not strong enough or the wrong tone. It turned my hair red. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a subtle touch up wash, not to someone who's hair has faded out and is in need of bringing the dark tones back.

I bought this cause I got my hair dyed red professionally! The shampoo is great, it makes my hair a darker red when I use it. I recommend mixing it with another shampoo just because it’s so pigmented. A little goes a long way

Love this shampoo

I love the way this shampoo leaves my gray hair soft and shiny and takes away any brassiness.

Great product, bottle could be fuller.

Leaves my hair VERY soft and silky feeling, with lots of shine and bounce. My hair is very fine so anything that makes it silky but not weighed down is great in my book. It doesn't tint the hair as much as the leave-in conditioners do but that's sort of expected as I leave the conditioner in for 10-15 minutes. I use this in combination with the Alchemic conditioner in copper since the stylist used multiple reds and gingers in my dye and I feel like they're a good combo. My complaint is that the bottle has too much space left at the top, it's still quite a full bottle but my conditioner was filled to right under the cap line while the shampoo has enough space to fit more product in :| If you have long or very thick hair you might go through it fairly quick. I like the product itself but for the price I am paying I want a full bottle!

Great with used with the conditioner

This works best when used with the Davines Alchemic Red conditioner. When you use the two together the result is very nice. My hair is smooth, soft and more easy to manage. I have my hair colored professionally; I'm not a natural redhead. This product was recommended to me by my stylist and I've been using it off and on for a few years now. This isn't something you need to use everyday; I generally use it a few times a week. Other reviewers have mentioned you need to use a lot of the shampoo to get it to lather. A little bit will go further if you keep a little water in your hair; not so much that it's dripping though. I leave a little bit of water in my hair and then add a little shampoo and lather. If I need a little more shampoo, I add it, but generally that does the trick. How much you need will of course depend on how much hair you have. The shampoo by itself will make your hair feel a little like straw but once you work in the conditioner it's smooth as silk!

Must have products for red hair!

I love Davines products. I have placed many comments on Davines products and this is has to be one of my favorite one. I recently dyed my hair burgundy with eggplant balayage. Since red dye tend to fade quickly, I always look for hair products that do not strip my color plus help nourishing/ restoring/ protecting my processed hair. Davines Alchemic Shampoo Red does it all. It actually deposits color to my hair which keeps the color last longer. I shampoo my hair with this product follow with the same conditioner 2/3 times a week. After every wash, my hair smells great and smooth. The color becomes more bright and vibrant. My coworkers often asked me if I have dyed my hair again or what I did to my hair. Love it

I love this product. I’ve used the Davine’s Oi Oil before and thought it was lovely so wanted to give this a try. I have naturally red extremely thick curly hair so I’m always a bit skeptical when buying hair products. I have to say I love it! Used it for the first time today and whilst I blow dried my hair I could already feel how soft it was. I’m very impressed! It still takes me a decade to straighten my hair but it definitely helps being a lot smoother and softer. The smell is lovely too - very natural and not over powering. For this price you should definitely not hesitate to try it!

Good Quality shampoo for maintaing coloured hair

Great shampoo for maintaining copper colour in hair. I have dry hair and could do with a bit more moisture so i use the finishing product such as Davines Milk or Oi Oil.

Not making the red of your hair lasting

Doesn’t intesify the colour of the hair as i expected to a proper red but more like a ginger colour that fades
