Okay but needs improvement.

Got these for my daughter for softball bc she is a catcher this year. She seems to like them okay. Her only complaint is that the pads slide around whenever she has to go sitting to standing. From all the other girls I’ve seen it appears all the pads do this. They have held up very well this season and can be used next year as well.

Pretty Good For The Price

These were purchased for a 7/8 year old Pony team. These pads do a good job of providing support for the players. It helps them get their behind off of their heels so they can get to any bad pitches or throw-downs faster. All of my catchers use them and they never complain about sore knees or thighs anymore. The only thing I do not like about the pads is the loop that the strap goes through is not flat like shown in the picture. They are actually semicircular on one side which allows the clip for the strap to slip through when they are taken off sometimes. When this happens you will need to loosen the clip and feed it through the loop again. Dealing with that in between innings can be a problem when everyone is waiting for the catcher to come out of the dugout. Make sure you run the straps over the top of the pads otherwise the straps will come undone as soon as a player applies pressure to the pads.

Not All Youth Are The Same

These are nicely made and work well for smaller statured youth. My son is 11, 5'3" 120lbs. These do not fit him comfortably enough. Personal preference is all. I will donate the youth size to our recreational league and purchase the adult size later.

Youth model runs small

Purchased the youth set for a 5' tall 10 year old to use in conjunction with Mizuno Samurai youth leg guards. The spacing for the straps is a bit close. I will be purchasing the adult version. The point is the youth set would be best suited for younger/smaller kids.

Needed for Catchers!

This is perfect..my son is a Catcher and 9 years old. These changes the game for him. Sturdy, comfort. Perfect.
