Need these for thick Seams!

I'm a novice sewer... I made a bike handlebar bag where some of the seams had many layers of fabric and webbing that needed to be stitched through. My machine bogged down a few times and I broke two needles (100/16) trying to hand crank through... I assumed that it was my machine (Singer Stylist) that couldn't handle it. I got it done but the seam in question looked bad and didn't fully close so I decided to buy these needles to try again. With the General Heavy Duty 110/18 needle I was able to nearly get through without the machine bogging down and then even once it did I was able to hand crank through the remainder of the stitch. I'm happy with the final seam and it's now fully closed. Highly recommend!

Great for sewing upholstery

Great needles for sewing the upholstery on my bay window cushion. One of the needles broke when I had to go over the zipper but all in all it comes with a few so I just replaced it and it worked fine.
