Basket is solid but pot is thin.

This is a good combo overall but not great. The fryer basket is great, large, well made but could use more drain holes in the corners. The pot is large and pours well but is too thin at the bottom which makes it warp easily under heat. It is not flat and on an electric range it can resonate and vibrate violently which is rather scary with hot oil. I’m looking for another different pot but not so thin on the bottom. That is hard to find. The bundled thermometer is useless because it is too short for the pot. I use a 12” Taylor instead and it works but you need to clip it to the basket with a small paper clamp.. Nevertheless the pot and the basket are a good upgrade for me.

Perfit for cooking fish outdoors only draw back is once you connect the handle you can not close the lid flush. A quick disconnect handle will make this a 5 star for sure

Easy to clean. Deep pot. Handle for basket attaches with ease—no screws and nuts to assemble.

Works great using our Blichmann propane banjo burner

This fryer set feels well made and did the job well. The hardest part was attaching the handle due to the materials used being strong and of a high quality. I hated to remove the handle once attached but storage is much easier if you do. Overall we've enjoyed two great meals since it was delivered. It is well suited to cooking about 4-6 medium-sized fish fillets at a time. Looking forward to frying up some other goodies this weekend.

It works good just a few things that could make it better

It should come with a temp gauge and the lid should have a little hole in it for the temp gauge and should have a notch cut in the lid so it closes with the basket it in to keep the temp up.

Quality is average . Handle lasted approx. a week. Probably spend more time looking around for better quality deep fryer pot.
