Works on an older train set!

The media could not be loaded. My husband and I brought this really old train set from his childhood home back to our home to our child and gave it to him. The train set is probably 30+ years old. This liquid smoke worked in that old train. The only complaint that I have is that it’s honestly pretty expensive for this bottle…and it smells really weird when the train is running. Side note: if you put too much it won’t work!! You only need like 5 drops!! A little goes a long way

Less smoke than traditional

Bachmann uses Ethylene Glycol instead of White Mineral Oil as the basis for their fluid. The result is twofold: when using the Bachmann fluid, I have to fill up much more frequently Secondly, the smoke is less intense than the MTH or Lionel smoke fluids which are based on mineral oil.

Used in two Lionel engines and no smoke at all.

Used in two Lionel engines and no smoke at all. Old fluid smoked until I added this. Now nothing. Ran both engines for 20 minutes with out even as much as a puff of smoke.

Does not work well with G scale trains

I bought this liquid smoke to go in a G-scale Christmas train. I was hoping that it would help the train smoke more, but it ended up smoking very little, and it definitely did not smell like a locomotive. I would not recommend for use with a G-scale train.
