Good bargain, looked great on me

We had a Magic themed birthday party for Halloween and this was my costume. Everyone loved it. I also wore it to work (I'm a teacher) and it was a big hit with my students. I have a lot of hair so by the time I wrapped it into a bun, the head piece fit almost perfectly and I did not have any issues with it falling off easily - it was snug and the horns stood up like they were supposed to. But I can see how other people with less hair will have problems with getting it to fit. My advice is to stuff it with socks or a towel or something until it fits snuggly on the head. I also used a black belt to help it be more fitted around m waist. Some reviewers complained that the sleeves were not closed, which is true, but the costume still looked fine. I wore a black tank top under it. Though a black turtle neck would probably be more true to the movie. Perhaps my only complaint would be that the little fins coming off the shoulders didn't really stand up well. You could sort of play with them to get them to stand up but they didn't stay up and they sort of flopped around. It wasn't terribly bad but not perfect either. I still loved the costume. As far as accessories go, I wore black boots and made my own staff. I had found a neat wine stopper that in the shape of a pine cone molded out of clear acrylic. It has an multicolor LED light in it so it glows different colors that fade into one another. I attached it to the top of a copper rod I had in the garage and it worked out well.

Great costume for the money

I was very pleased with the costume. The dress was comfortable (sleeves are open at the arms -- which I had read in other reviews). I wore a black tank top underneath which was very comfortable and you couldn't really see it -- it did not interfere with the look. It fit nicely, size was what I expected and the horns/head piece was adequate. I thought they were nicely made -- the head piece fit just fine (and I have a lot of hair to pull into a bun to fit under it!). The horns were well stuffed and stood up appropriately. Had lots of comments on the costume and anyone who knew who Maleficent was, recognized the costume. It was a hit at work and with a group of 4-5 year olds that came to visit that day for trick or treating! It was well worth the price.

Magnificent Maleficent!

This costume was amazing! It was incredibly dramatic, fit well, and it was a big hit with the kids in my neighborhood. I dressed up to hand out candy on Halloween night with my family. The reaction from both the children and adults in my neighborhood was fantastic. Several parents and children asked to take their picture with Maleficent. At least ten different people asked where I got my costume, and I was happy to share the information. I read some other reviews that complained about the quality of the dress and horns, but my horns were well shaped and held their shape nicely. The dress was comfortable and fit as you would expect a Halloween costume to fit. It wasn't a tailored dress, but looked great once I got the wrinkles out. I also purchased black wings separately, as well as the staff in the picture. They added a nice touch to the ensemble, as did some dramatic make-up. I would definitely recommend this costume!! I'll keep it and wear it again for future parties and Halloween activities.

Great Outfit!

Too large, but I had to order a bigger size as you didn't have my size in stock. I think it needs to be a tight fit to make the shoulder flaps stand up, because mine flop down. Great outfit though!

Maleficent Mistake

The material is extremely flimsy, the headress looks like a showercap and the collar is foam which does not stand up on its own at all, not like the picture. This is just not worth the money. The brooch just hangs there and is too heavy for the dress. Very disappointed.

Not as shown on picture, quality not as thick as it looks, collars do not sit up as shown, not worth the money cheap thin satin. Sent this order back!
