I was not able to start the threads on the right transmission, it kept cross threading so I thought I had the wrong filter! Then I tried the second filter, and it spun right on! So what do you do next? I chose to Pray, and the one that didn't spin on the right side spun right on the left transmission. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!! After all said and done, it fits a 2012 Gravely ZT HD Hydro-Gear® ZT-3100

Works as advertised
This is a recommended filter brand for the Hustler zero turn mower and seems to work well. They fit like the original and seem to do the job. I'll continue to buy these.

Not OE quality
With my filter cutter in one hand and one of these “Stens” filters in the other I went to work. I will tell you that there is no comparison between these and the OE hydro gear filters. The OE filter “can” is much thicker. The filter media is higher quality as well. The OE filter has no bypass valve where as the Stens does. Not good. Spend the money on hydro gear branded filters. They are worth the extra money.

Fit ZT3100 Hydrostatic Transmission
It was slightly smaller in size than the factory original but fit my Big Dog Stout with a ZT3100 Hydrostatic Transmission. I think worth the difference in price and nice having it delivered to my house rather than going to the dealer. Kit at the dealer was $98 plus tax. Yes I did extensive research on prices quality and how to change. I used Mobil One 15w50 full synthetic oil. I haven't noticed any problems with my mower and no leaks. If you have a ZT3100 Hydrostatic Transmission I would recommend this filter

Didn't fit - Hydro Gear: 52114 replacement.
Description states that this replaces Hydro Gear 52114 filters, it's even printed on the filter itself. I don't know whether this is in error or if I simply received two badly manufactured units, but these would not thread on to my Husqvarna ez4824 in place of the Hydro Gear 52114 filters I had removed. I am returning this item.

Filter has Bypass valve/Original did not!
The filters arrived 2days early, which was awesome!! But these filters have bypass valves in them. So they will allow dirty oil to circulate if they are allowed get full or if the oil is cold
