VERY disappointed.

The paint on Jesus’ arms was peeling and he was dirty all over. The “wood” around his arms was lighter (i.e. had a lighter coat of paint) than the rest of the cross. Please check them items before you sell them in the future. This was just really bad quality. I had high expectations from the great reviews, and was sorely disappointed.

Breathtaking - Much More Than I Expected

I did not expect what I got in this piece. When I ordered it I didn't realize how large it would be. I also didn't realize what a piece of art this is. It is breathtaking in its detail. It draws your eye and you can't look away. This isn't just some piece of plastic stuck onto the cross base. This is art. When I initially saw this was a resin material, I actually expected this to be a cheap, lightweight product unworthy of the price point. I was absolutely wrong. It is heavy weight and absolutely does not feel like plastic at all. Additionally, every detail is attended to right down to the fingers and toes. This is a stop people in their tracks piece. I found find myself stopping and staring and contemplating the depth of its meaning. I love this and this could go well in a home or a church. Just make sure you consider the measurements. because it is quite large.

Lovely Devotional Art for an Institutional Setting

The Design Toscano Crucifix is a painted, crushed-stone-and-resin wall sculpture. The body of Jesus is completely attached to the cross; it is about three-quarters in the round. The paint colors are mostly appropriate: the blood is a bit redder than you might expect, and inexplicably the crown of thorns is golden. The body is appropriately sculpted; the face is less Semitic than Western Mediterranean. The wood, from the vantage of most viewers when the crucifix is wall mounted, looks realistic. If one can describe such an image of torture as aesthetically appealing, this crucifix may be described so. Note the size of the crucifix before ordering. Most home crucifixes are much smaller (about 8” high and 4.5” wide). This cross is 20” high, and the body of Jesus is a foot long. At about four pounds, this crucifix is also heavier than most home crucifixes. I can see this crucifix gracing a Catholic school, refectory, or church hall. It is a handsome piece of devotional art that would make a nice gift to a parish or school that might need one.

Magnificent

The Design Toscano Crucifixion of Christ Cross sculpture is just a stunning piece of art. Raised as a Catholic this is just as beautiful as any crucifix I have seen in church. It hangs flush to the wall and would be a great addition to any ones home. Priced reasonably it would make a great gift.

This is a gorgeous crucifix! It is very detailed and much heavier than I expected. I particularly like the wood grain that adds depth. It would go well with many types of decor and would make a great wedding gift. Disclaimer: I received one free crucifix in exchange for posting my honest review. Beautiful wall hanging cross - great detail and well crafted!

A beautiful resin wall hanging crucifix of our lord on the cross. At 20" long it it quite large and you may need a special wall fixing as it it quite heavy. The detail is very good and well a painted. This will look beautiful in a catholic home - I adore it! I have been after one for so long but the price was too high or the quality was awful...this is perfect!

Resin crucifix for religious gardens

This is an odd object to try and review, as obviously much is based on the reviewer's personal taste. I love religious art but the modern stuff often falls short, as is the case here. This crucifix is made of resin and although it's quite nicely moulded, with lots of detail and subtle colouring, when it comes down to it, it's still made of plastic and there's just something inherently naff about that as far as I am concerned. In fact, I'd almost prefer it to go unashamedly down the kitschy route with brighter colours and less attempt at subtlety, but I am well aware that's my own weird taste! It is a substantial piece at around 20in and suitable for outdoor as well as indoor use - makes me wonder how it would look after a couple of years in a garden, I reckon the weathering might be nice! And if you share my proclivity for religious imagery but not my aversion to resin, this is probably right up your street.

Sehr Gut

Das Kreuz hat eine Höhe von 80cm und eine breite von 51cm und meine Frau war begeistert , alleine die Details sind sehr schön am besten kommt das Kreuz noch besser in Geltung wenn es ein wenig weg hängt genau wie es bei den Bildern ist ! also absolute kauf Empfehlung was mir noch aufgefallen ist das auf den Herstellerbildern auf ein Bild die Krone Gold mäßig auf dem anderen bild eher sehr dunkel ist ich hätte sie lieber in Gold gehabt aber nun so sind wir auch zufrieden

+schnelle Lieferung +gut geschützte Verpackung +Figur entspricht den Fotos +Qualitativ hochwertige Verarbeitung -Die Grösse ist nicht verständlich, das Kreuz hat 80cm höhe und 51cm breite. Was die 120cm in der Beschreibung sein soll weiß ich nicht, dass hat nicht einmal die Verpackung. + BIN ABER VOLL ZUFRIEDEN MIT DEM KREUZ UND ZU DEM PREIS BEKOMMT MAN NICHTS BESSERES.
