with the golden touch line you can get lemons, bad sliders broken buttons or you can just get lucky, this seems like I got a good one.

It is top noch

One issue golden touch GT should look golden but the die lot was off on this one it had more of a green look to it. I did call Roberts and verified it is authentic by its serial number and I compared it to a old one I had and it matched.

THE BEST KICKER MADE

I've been fitting carpets in the UK for 21yrs. I just re-purchased this model kicker to replace my old identical one that i have used for the last 16yrs. Needless to say, it lasted well and is still going! A very robust design with a solid feel. These were always hard to get in the UK as most places only stocked the basic common Roberts kicker but this is bigger, longer, stronger and has a nice big wide head too. The extra length (24") means you can get a good strong kick on the most stubborn of carpets without smashing your kneecaps - you find the extra length helps you strike it further back and higher up your knee where the impact is unfelt. That helps prolong the life of your knees! It is a horrible colour though, they start off a weird gold colour that slowly turns to a sludgy brown that's really ugly but i'm sure you can look past that. These are built to last, the button to extend them can get a bit stiff after ten year but these really do last. Had to come from the US but it got here a full week ahead of schedule despite the christmas rush. Glad to have found stock after all these years. I could never go back to any of the other kicker offerings. This is the model to have.

Terrible

Had old crain over 20 years without a problem. Had this under 6month and all top pins have fell out,using old crain again. Stay clear!!
