Actually works

Love this product to use between color appts with stylist. First time only kept on for 2 minutes, didn’t do anything. Next time used a good amt for 10/12 min, and worked perfectly. I was very pleased. Color is shiny and lovely, will definitely use again and would Recommend to anyone. Just follows directions..

Much needed product, great results!

It took me a minute to apply the product evenly but take your time with a comb and the results will be worth it! Whenever my color fades away I add a bit and leave it in for fifteen minutes and that’s it! The color comes out super vibrant and refreshed! I love it! ????

Deposits a lot of color in one application

Clairol Color Gloss Up Temporary Hair Dye, Terra Copper Hair Color, 1 Count I had been using the L'Oreal Le Gloss in Copper but wasn't seeing as much of a change as I wanted on virgin, medium brown hair and decided to try the Clairol version. They're both toning, glossing conditioners that come in a squeeze tube, are applied to clean, damp hair and left on for up to 15 minutes. The shades of copper are a bit different too, with Clairol's being brighter. Neither can lighten hair, lift the cuticle (aka no damage) or permanently cover greys. The pictures on the Clairol box are not realistic as they show hair being lightened. The effects are modest on virgin hair and will be more intense on porous hair (previously lightened, damaged, or some coily and kinky textures). Having used them both, the Clairol deposits much more color in one go and is also more likely to stain your skin and nails (gloves would have been a good idea, but I guess I can live with orange fingernails for a few days! ) I highly recommend applying this carefully with a brush on sectioned hair so you get even results. The L'Oreal has less color and is a much creamier texture, so it's easy to slap on with your hands and much harder to create an uneven result. They both smell great and condition hair. I leave them both on for 15 minutes. The Clairol creates a noticeable change indoors and outdoors in one application on virgin hair. It took me 3 successive weekly applications to see a change indoors with the L'Oreal. Each tube has 3-4 applications for my layered, shoulder-length hair. I didn't take a before shot, but here are "afters" with one 15 minute application indoors, outdoors in indirect light and outdoors in full sun.

Not quite as dramatic as the box implies

Bought this for my daughter to use as part of a halloween costume, she is naturally dirty-blonde and wanted to be red head for a bit. The bottle is supposed to contain enough dye to use four times, so the first time we applied according to instructions, waited the maximum amount of time (20 minutes?) and rinsed... and were very underwhelmed by the results, her hair only had a slight red tint. So we tried again, using the entire bottle, and letting it soak in even longer, maybe half an hour. And then the results were pretty acceptable. Not as bright as in the picture, but she was definitely a red head, and was happy with the results. And it did wash out completely within a few weeks.

Pretty Good, Color Doesn’t Last

This product is easy to use and the conditioning color is pretty good. It’s very gentle on my relaxed hair. The only issue I have with it is the color only lasts a couple of shampoos before it fades and needs to be reapplied.

Absorbs well, not a vivid blue without bleach

So, I've been waiting for my daughter to let me apply this Clairol Color Gloss Up Temporary Hair Dye, Out of the Blue Hair Color, to her long hair. It's slightly lighter in color than mine, and I think it will show well on her. I gave up waiting and tried a small amount on a bit of my hair. I only let it sit on my hair for about 15 minutes. I generally leave semi-permanent color in my hair overnight with a cap. The color took well. I think the blue tones make my hair look too dark and dull, so I'm going back to red/pink/purple colors. The dye itself works quite well and absorbs fast. The color isn't what I want. To get a real blue, you'll need to either have very blond hair or bleach it. Still, a good dye product. I will choose a different color next time. Recommend!!

Very dark

It stayed forever in my hair. Maybe my hair is too porous or blonde but it didn't have a nice warm tone like I expected with a name like caramel.

Works great

The product is really really great. Make sure u spread it very good and evenly on your hair though. I used my hands and it stained my hands lol but it came off after a decent scrub.. same with on my face from getting my roots. I will warn to definitely make sure it’s even. It comes on very dark and sticks fast. I noticed I got my root area very well and not so much the middle parts so it looked slightly uneven. I had to wash my root area about 3x to get it to fade a bit. I left it on for a bout 10 minutes and applied to wet hair after I washed it. It’s definitely a copper color but like I said, if you leave it on it is dark at first and if it’s not even there will be lighter/darker areas. It colored on super super fast. My advice: Use gloves, brush through, and if you don’t want it as dark and just want a touch up, try diluting the dye with a red shampoo or conditioner so you can apply it evenly and brush it through. Great for in between hair appts. I did Terra Cotta and I was blonde (bleached) prior UPDATE: It DOES have a pink hue.. just be advised! It’s more one the red side versus ginger copper side but I still liked it.

Surprisingly terrible

I bought this on a whim because I couldn’t get to Chatters to buy my usual dye. Watched some YouTube’s and people seemed to like it. I have not pure white bleached hair but close. The dye barely put any colour in and it looked awful. It managed to stain my hair so there was an ugly faint pink left where I put it though so that was extra annoying

Hot Espresso turned bleached hair blue-green

Warning, the undertone of Hot Espresso is blue! Should have done a small path test before applying to all hair. Now need to bleach out the blue-green.

Does it work?

My hair is a peachy blond so my hairdresser suggested I try peach toned toners and dyes to revive my colour. This product did absolutely nothing on my hair! Total waste! That’s too bad because I was really looking forward to this colour highlight.

Très léger

Ne teint pas rose comme sur la boîte, c'est plus un après-shampoing coloré. Ajoute une petite touche de couleur légère mais ne teint pas les cheveux. J'ai attendu 20 min et le résultat est très pâle.
