Very helpful to have around the garage/shop
This is very handy to have around. I have used to it set up my jointer. Very helpful for the task. Works good to check boards to make sure they are flat. I’ve used it to see that boards weren’t straight which I could then run through my jointer to get a straight edge to reference on the table saw fence. It’s quickly becoming something I’m reaching for often. A valuable tool to have around if you do any woodworking.

trying to setup a jointer without it is frustrating
I bought this after I sent my jointer/planner machine to the workshop to fix it and found out they missed up the alignment so bad it isn't coplanar anymore. I tried for a week to adjust the beds or the blades to get good cut and it was either the jointer is cutting ok and the planner is giving me poor surface or the other way around, the best I could get without a true straight edge is a big snipe in the wood around 3 inches from the end, that drove me mad since I know the problem and the fix but yet don't have the tools to do it. I looked locally and all I could find is regular rulers thats not even straight for 10". I pulled the trigger and order it from amazon, I was worried since it'll take a long journey to be delivered to me in saudi arabia it'll be dented or bent but I received it in good condition and packed well. I fixed my machine and totally adjusted to work even better than when I bought it new in 3 hours as I had to measure some shims to and put them in place to true the beds to the cutter head. every shop need one of these. if you fix or adjust your own machine get one.

Solid straight edge with scale for reference
Solid and straight. It is nicely finished and plenty straight for woodworking. Great size for checking the flatness of your piece or setting up your tool beds. 38 is a great all around size. The scale (ruler) is a nice touch for reference. These are a bit thick to use as a measurement and marking tool, but that’s not their primary purpose.

True Straight edge
This is my go to quality control tool used to ensure those critical cuts are perfect. Very nice finish and sturdy. Wish they made a longer version. I will be buying a shorter on for the tight spots.

Super high quality, heavyweight perfection
After having returned a straight edge for being super flimsy, I was almost dumbfounded by just how solid and heavyweight this one is. This straight edge is very well machined and will without a doubt last for generations.

Muy precisa y a un excelente precio
Estaba algo escéptico ya que el precio y las dimensiones eran para no entusiasmarse mucho, es larga casi ronda el metro y me costó por ahí de los 1,000 pesos muy por debajo de otras opciones en cuanto al precio y por arriba de las dimensiones, es por eso que crei que no sería tan buena, pero me lleve una muy grata sorpresa al checar que es muy precisa mucho muy precisa, así que estoy hasta el momento muy satisfecho con la compra y definitivamente es buena, bonita y barata.
