I use this filter as a pre-filter for my refrigerator that has a It’s own filter refrigerator it makes the water taste much better good value for the price

Missing partes/misleading pictures

The picture in the add shows the adapter filter. The product arrived without the filter support. This is only the filter and not the base/adapter.

Misleading: Does not come with housing unit, This is for Filter only

While this is a geat product- This is for filter only. DO NOT PURCHASE if you need the housing unit for the filter as shown in the photo of item. There is no use for a filter if you don't have the housing unit for it. Amazon does not offer the housing unit. I originally purchased my at Loews and they also do not sell the housing unit; After 4 years the O Ring on the housing unit is leaking - only way to fix is to replace

Great Value. Simple installation

This purchase was the filter only. I originally purchase the installation kit which included a filter. I used it to replace the water filter in my refrigerator (it was discontinued). If you by the kit, It is an inline filter which means you may have to cut the water line that feeds your refrigerator. It was very simple to install once the water line was cut. If you're worried about water quality read the specs on what it filters out. That's why we bought it. To replace your old filter just twist off and twist back on to install. I would recommend it to everyone on a budget looking to get away from those expensive built-in refrigerator filters.

Works as indicated

Interesting that without testing the water output from the filter, you really don't know how good it works. But it is easy to install and seem=s to be working well. No issues with foul smell or taste in water.

Filtered water in ice maker

Easy install, ice is clear and no taste. Got it from Lowe’s, but they quit handling the product. Glad Amazon has them.

Great Water Filter!

Our water has an unpleasant odor and is very noticeable in ice. I was pleased when we installed this filter the odor went away and our ice is now clear instead of white. Very happy with this purchase.
