Disappointed

So this seems to be the exact piece that comes with the Karcher 1700. It offers no greater protection or filter. In fact, the screen/filter displayed in the first picture does not exist on the actual product. I’ve ordered two and both only come with one filter on the back end of of the adapter. The front, which the first picture incorrectly indicates, does not have a filter.

An absolutely must have adapter for your electric Kärcher power washer

This garden hose adapter is a far superior to the flimsy plastic quick connect hose adapter that came with my K2 power washer. This should have been included in the original packaging. It's makes a positive, water tight connection that will allow you to move your power washer around without constantly worrying about the quick connect becoming disconnected. There are absolutely no issues with leakage. The adapter comes with a gasket in both the male and female sides. I also used plumbers tape on the inlet receiver as added peace of mind.

A must-have for your Karcher!

Wish I had bought this right away, as the quick-disconnect that came with my K4 was very difficult to thread on to my (new) hose. This spun right on and I gave it a quick 1/8 turn with some channel lock pliers to make sure it was tight. The hose spins right on/off with no troubles at all. Very pleased with it overall. Other reviewers mention this leaks, but I haven’t had any problems with it. Maybe some debris on threads or not quite tight enough? My only quibble/suggestion would be to skip the display shelf packaging it came in. A plain little brown box would be fine...

What Leak? It’s Great.

It’s a shame that this product has so many negative reviews as it pertains to function when it’s user error more so than factory defects. Silver side against machine, black to hose. Follow the printed instruction diagram on the back of the packaging and you’ll be fine. I feel the flow is increased that much more due to it being a larger diameter compared to the factory quick disconnect. I’m completely satisfied with my received product and it does NOT leak, for those who are skeptical.

Started leaking after several uses

I didn't see any leaking when the product was new. After a couple months of use it now leaks just like you'll see in other's reviews here. I made sure the hose gaskets hadn't fallen out or been damaged. It appears the leak is in the center so that's unfortunate. At first I though it was far better than the plastic connector that broke just as fast.

Leaks

I was hoping this would replace my connector for my Karsh pressure washer. It fitted well on my Karsh pressure washer, but it would not thread properly on my garden hose. All of my other hose accessories thread well onto the hose, so this is not a problem with the thread on my garden hose. It is almost like this accessory has a different thread than my hose and it simply won't tighten. Most of my other hose attachments seal with at least two full turns to thread it on, this connector can only be turned about a quarter of a turn before it seizes. A wrench will not take it any further and it leaks profusely. This is of now use.

YEAH, IT LEAKS!

As this is a genuine Karcher accessory I was expecting a well made, fully functional product that would work as advertised. It does not. IT LEAKS, PERIOD. I installed this connector on my Simonize pressure washer according to the manufacturers instructions and also did one on my neighbors Karcher pressure washer. If the connector is tightened using soft jawed pliers the leaking is minimal. However, any lateral stress on the connector causes it to leak severely. Meaning, any sideways pressure on the hose will cause it to leak extensively. I used Teflon tape on both male and female threads to ensure that the connections were water tight. It's the articulating joint in the connector itself that leaks. This is supposed to be a tool free accessory but, as previously stated, I had to use soft jawed, slip joint pliers to tighten both sections of the connector in order to minimize the leaking. This helped significantly but was still not enough to elliminate the problem. Spend a little more and get a quality made, brass quick connect set. It will leak less and be much more convenient to use.

Good & Inexpensive replacement

So far, so good. Good price for this part, especially considering the original Karcher part was ALL plastic and costs 3 times the price of this one. NO LEAKS. (unlike what some people report in the reviews below)... REMEMBER to put the METALLIC SIDE towards machine and the PLASTIC SIDE screwed TO HOSE.

Fits pretty nicely on my Karcher power washer. Not very happy that it is plastic though. Metal would hold up better than plastic, but it suit the purpose.

Se raccorde très mal au boyau

Je cherchais depuis longtemps ce type de raccord pour brancher mon boyau d'arrosage sur mon Karcher. je croyais avoir trouvé mais l'article est inutilisable parce qu'on ne peut y raccorder efficacement le boyau. Le filetage ne correspond pas tout à fait. Ce n'est pas standard?
