Great Idea. Couldn't find anything better, couple simple improvements would make it better
I bought this because I needed a slim in wall installation. ANd this is a WHR accessory so at least meets their standards. It has pieces to be very flexible. With an input 90 degree section, and output 90 degree section, an additional piece to go in the middle to extend longer distances, an additional offset piece to connect dryer to the in wall section, and some strapping pieces, and a nail protection plate to keep the drywaller from poking screws (lint catchers) into the unit. Overall was a bit flimsier than I had hoped, but will do the job. If you need the two piece parascope pieces only (I think it was up to 50") the pieces fit together really easily. But if you need to put the additional middle section in, makes it a big more of a science project. The problem is piece #1 has a male output. Piece #3 has a female input. But the middle piece has two male ends. So where piece #1 and #2 goes together requires a bit of finagling (bending). Connect it with a high quality aluminum duct tape because using screws will be a lint catcher inside. Make sure and reinforce where the round sections meet the square sections with some aluminum tape so they don't come apart. You'll likely want to buy a better quality 4" hose clamp to connect the dryer to the parascope input. The one included is a super flimsy screw through a strap of sheetmetal....kind of useless. Not sure it would even be strong enough to squeeze the round tube without slitting the tube. The 90 degree elbows are very slim to fit into a 2 x 4 wall, so pretty abrupt. I wouldn't put many more elbows on other than this unit, as they likely add quite a lot of equivalent pipe length. Decent price if you are considering using all the pieces, but maybe a bit overpriced if using part of them, and having to do rework to make them fit, and buy additional clamps. But for my installaltion, in the end, it all worked and produced a clean install.

One part damaged, one part missing
Managed to repair damaged Part A with some sheet metal tools and metallic tape - received (2) Part C and no Part D - need Part D to complete installation - please advise

Almost...
Overview: As described. Experience: Yep as described and in keeping with other reviews, that's would be good for 4 stars. I don't give 5 stars unless it does all that and does something exceeding expectations, like sing and dance. I'm docking a star as it is not the quality expected for the price. The issue is with the end fittings, they are very thin, actually buckled when tightening clamp so it is difficult to actually get a secure fit. I ended up having to remove the adjustable periscope and go with a straight 4" adapter and a short flex duct.

My dryer is finally working efficiently and safely!
My dryer is finally drying clothes as it should, versus taking 2 hours to dry a load! And no more dryer fires, overheated and burned out elements, and constantly having to call a repair person! I have a 6 foot rise from the bottom of my dryer to the exit vent. I have been using the common round coiled flexible dryer vent hose that is so cheap and sold in big box hardware stores. It has been very inadequate, collecting tons of lint, needing constant cleaning, and each little ridge in the coils collects condensation. It's been very hard on my dryers. My first dryer needed new heat sensors every 1 or 2 years, and has gone through 2 elements. Then I had a dryer fire. I thought it was the dryer. So, I bought a new high end dryer, hoping my problem was solved. Not. My new dryer is showing the same signs of problems. Taking 2 hours to dry a load. Huge lint build up. I decided to research my venting, and chose this rigid vent kit because it sounded like it would solve my problems. So far, I'm very happy. My clothes dry quickly, and I see minimal lint build up. I had this professionally installed. I know this is for an "in wall" installation, but I have installed it against a wall, and it's exposed. It's not pretty, but my laundry room's in the basement and strictly utilitarian. I want things to operate efficiently and safely. From that standpoint, it's working like a champ; I wish I bought this several years ago. It probably would have saved me a lot of money. I had a local appliance service come in and install it correctly. My total investment with purchase and installation was about $165.00. I know that sounds expensive, but it will save me from a dryer fire, and having to (again) replace my dryer

One of the few in wall rated ducts
I bought 2 kits but only needed 1. Floor to ceiling was 108" and still had enough to go into attic over 1 foot with 1 kit. Another review said they only got 77" out of it. They must have installed it incorrectly. 2 sections use the couplers then the top section slides over the 3rd section. Working great.

Pieces Didn't Fit Together
The poor rating is because the pieces of the periscope didn't fit together - the two middle pieces were the same size, and one of them should have been larger so they slid together. I returned the product with no problem. This is the only one I could find that telescoped this far, so I kept looking and found it available at Home Depot. But when that one arrived, I opened it in the store and the pieces were the same - it didn't fit together. It was then that I noticed the reviews on their web site were largely complaining about this same problem. They returned it and I just received the replacement (which they tested in the store before calling me to pick it up). The pieces in this one do fit together properly. I assume the installation will now go smoothly. If you receive one that doesn't fit together, return it for a replacement - not all of them have this problem, but a higher percentage than I thought possible given it's from a big company.

Misfit
Perfect for uses where duct joint connection is unimportant. Perhaps a play shoot for small mammals When purchasing, remember to add the Chinese Product Reciprocal (CPR) of 95% of the Amazon price to determine your actual cost.

Just go buy the ductwork its easier.
This does not stretch out to the length it suggest. What a gong show to put it together. Would not spend the money on this again. Less headache just go buy the ductwork and do it yourself.
