Super Grip Magnet

Wow. This knife holder/block is way more magnetic than I expected. It is very elegant and holds the knifes wonderfully. I had all my knifes in a drawer and am now able to securely place them on the counter where they are easily accessible, yet securely attached to this knife block. Well worth the money.

Wow This is AWESOME

I got the beech for my wife who loves to cook and use her iPad for recipes or watch youtube while cooking. We have limited counter-top space so this really came in handy. The best part is it is made in Italy. I will be ordering some more for Christmas gifts

Keep looking

Paid 3 times the amount because I thought it look nice and would hold many knives. I get it and the magnets would only hold one or two knives per column and only on one side. Not sure why some would need to buy a $150 holder if they only had a few knives. It was a horrible product and was returned the next day.

Pretty

I like how the knife block looks. It is different and it works well. I like the pretty wood. It says it can hold a tablet, and it can but it is just not working like that because the tablet would be on the wrong side and face away from you, considering how the knives have to be pulled from the other side. I think it is just a gimmick to add a selling point. Anyway I like it and like how it looks

Nice design, beautiful wood and well made, strong magnets hold a variety of knives...

This is a very attractive, well made knife block. I ordered the walnut version and the wood is beautiful -- the block feels solid and the way it is assembled shows off the different colors of the wood and the pattern of the woodgrain. The block I received is smoothly finished and does indeed hold 14 or knives securely, depending on size. That said, it is not perfect. There are four slots for holding knives. The smallest slot has magnets strong enough to hold four knives. The second slot holds three or four. I have three knives in the third slot, but I had to position two of them closer together than I wanted to for the magnet to hold them properly. The fourth slot will only hold two knives. It is also possible to position knives on the front of the knife block (the other side of the fourth slot) and I did place a couple of large knives there that are just too big to fit in the real slots + I wanted to show how strong the magnets are. They 'grab' the knife and clamp onto it, which takes a bit of getting used to. It also takes a bit of effort to pull a knife away from the magnet (which is a good thing). I decided I didn't really want knives on the front of the block as it doesn't seem very safe, and it doesn't look that great either, but I ended up only being able to store 12 knives so I suppose it might be an option in the future. I included a picture of some of the knives I wanted to put in the block + I tried to show several pictures of the block from different views. The front ledge is designed for holding a tablet, which I don't use, but it could also be used to hold a cookbook. I like the open style of the block which makes it easy to clean. I also like the fact that I can arrange the knives as I wish, instead of having to match them to specific slots as I need to do with my other knife blocks. I do wish the magnets were positioned so that I could fit three knives in the largest slot instead of only two as there is enough room to accommodate the extra knife. Otherwise, I'm very pleased with this knife block and I think the current price of $134.95 is quite reasonable.

Magnets are too strong

Very cool looking and high quality workmanship as far as the woodworking goes… but Magnets are too strong for the application. You will either scratch the finish on your knives and/or feel like you need to apply more force removing the blades from the block than is safe while holding a sharp knife.
