No shoes indoors

I've been wearing these slippers for many years now. We prefer not to use street shoes in the house, for obvious reasons. Easy to slip in to and comfortable as can be, they are perfect for the house. They're well padded for comfort and warmth.

Go to Dad Gift!

My dad is a particular man and incredibly hard to shop for, especially if you want to get him something "nice". He's had to give up his main hobbies/vices: beer (making and drinking) and cigars due to health concerns. He likes Carhartt hoodies. He likes Walmart jeans. He likes Rocky boots. And he likes these slippers for every single minute he spends at home. I think the first pair lasted him four years of daily use. His feet get cold and he hates the feel of anything less than absolutely polished floors, so he wears these 365. At this point, my mom suggested a new pair for a birthday present when I came to her for suggestions. He'd worn holes in the current pair and they were falling apart. It's worth noting at this point that my dad travels when he's at home and so do these: the gravel driveway, the garage, the porch, the yard, the woods, the unfinished basement, to reload the wood stove, regular house floors like slippers are made for, etc. Four years is an incredible amount of time to have withstood the punishments these slippers have gone through. I found that replacement pair at a local store (it was last minute and I was desperate). I got them in his usual size, and gifted them. It was a few days later when my mom asked if we could exchange them for a larger size. It had been so long since he had worn new ones that he had forgotten how thick the fluff on the inside was and that he had originally had to size up. Since then (two years later), I've ordered this pair, not because of any concerns with the previous pair (I'm sure he probably would have gotten another two years of use from them). I sized up. He loves them. In two more years, I'll buy another pair. Get these for the father person in your life. They'll love them.

Whoa size! Order Up!

I wear 12 and1/2 shoe, but ordered 15E. It fits pretty well as these types seem to run very small. Previously Tamaracs but can't find here anymore. After "fur" padding compresses should work with socks for colder winter wear, needed here, PNW.

Good Slippers

The fit is right in keeping with my normal shoe-size. The construction and materials are of obvious good quality. I expect them to wear well for a long time, and there's only two small quibbles I have with the design. First, the insides of the elastic flex inserts (the things on the side that flex when putting them on) have their heavy duty seams rubbing through the furry insides. They're VERY noticeable though you eventually get used to it: still, a design flaw in my opinion. Second, the upper edges of the shoe opening are a bit low for secure comfort. They should come up at least another half inch to make it feel like the slipper is gripping your foot better instead of so low that you wonder if your feet are going to come right out of the thing. I like them. I feel like they're so well made that I'll have these around for longer than I've got life left. However, for the sixty-plus dollars they cost? I expected a bit more. I ordered a pair ofTamarac by Slippers International Men's Highlander Shearling Slipper at the same time for forty dollars: they got five-stars from me.

Great slipper for inside living.

Just received my third pair yesterday. They look the same as all the other pairs I have ordered, but to the comment these are knock-offs, I don't think so. My first pair I bought locally from an independent shoe retailer lasted about four years (finally the holes started developing in the soles on both slippers), but were so comfortable, I ordered a new pair online. I have had this pair for about three years, but eventually they to wore out (separated sole from left slipper). I'm ready for the new slippers, although I have found their sizing to be a little small (i.e.- I wear a size 11.5 shoe, but I found the size 13M slipper to fit the best). Would recommend these to anyone with achy feet, as the soften the blow when walking and sitting.

Get a size up

I usually wear size 14 men's shoes but this slipper in size 14 was about half a size to a full size too small. Otherwise, felt really nice and looks well made but can't comment on long term durability. I recommend ordering a size up

Review 2016/12/15 Been wearing these for a week, very comfortable, well made and nice looking! My Siberian Husky wanted to eat them or at least play with them, because of the sheep wool! They do fit small, I wear a size 14 shoe and they did not fit, however size 15 fits great (like my 14 shoe). A bit odd when first wearing them until the wool compresses and makes a nice foot bed! They even have an arch support! First pair was defective as the insole was missing some wool down the sides Amazon.ca promptly sent a replacement which are perfect.

Quality/durability is poor

This is the third pair of these slippers I have had over the years and had always been very happy with them. Unfortunately their quality has deteriorated along with the slippers themselves. Previous pairs lasted 2-3 years, these fell to pieces with stitching and glue failing in 6 months. Will now be looking for a new brand, especially with the price factor on these.

Great product for an older man

These slippers were a Christmas gift for my 90+ year-old husband and he couldn't be happier with them! Well-made, comfortable, easy to put on and a perfect fit; he's lived in them since the 25th.
