Amazingly easy to install.
Original diverter was Moen, which previous owner replaced with a "DANXX" Tub Diverter. Too much water was flowing from the diverter, rather than the shower head. I replaced it with the exact same item. I was unable to stop the "DANXX" diverter from leaking, so after 2 hours I abandoned that diverter. Found the MOEN Diverter I needed on Prime, and while somewhat expensive, ordered it. Item arrive the next day. The Allen wrench was not included, and for this price, Moen should have included it for those not already possessing a Allen Wrench Set, which I had. The replacement Moen Diverter onto the "pipe spout" took barely 10 minutes, with maybe 5 minutes to caulk it after verifying there weren't any leaks. It could not have been easier. The Moen diverter is worth every penny I paid for it! Lastly, the outer box that arrived lacked any kind of packing inside, and movement during shipping destroyed the inner box that the manufacturer placed the diverter in. The plastic packing, wrapped around the Moen Diverter was shredded, and the Moen diverter was rolling around inside. my first thought was that I received a "returned unit". I polished out the scuffs in the metal, and installed it. The shipping department can certainly do better than this, I think...

Looks great, easy to install, doesn't do a very good job as a diverter.
It does two things: water pours out of it...or not. I wish it did a better job of stopping water flow when the diverter is engaged. It seems that if you engage the diverter and THEN turn on the water it does a fine job. But if the water's already flowing when you pull the diverter it never seems to fully engage and leaks like crazy from the spout. Regardless, I bought it for looks and it looks great. Feels very solid. It was easy to install. Note: I have very high pressure at my house (110-120psi) and it didn't shoot off the pipe like others had complained about. Perhaps the 'Moentrol' valve is reducing pressure enough to prevent this problem.

Could not have been easier
I bought this to replace my existing spout (same make / model) and it was a perfect, direct replacement. The item showed up on time, was packaged nicely and fit like a glove. Turned on the water and, voila; the shower worked like new without any issues. I saved the old spout and will be buying a repair kit so I'll have a spare in case the spout in our other bathroom acts up.

Looks nice. Does not work well.
I bought this on Amazon about 1.5 years ago. It looks nice and was fairly straightforward to install. The diverter stopped working properly a few months ago. The pieces are cheap plastic and after pulling once the mechanism fell out into the tub. It now no longer securely switches between tub and shower. I recommend you spend more money and buy something that's better quality.

Horrible quality control and customer service.
Product arrived a day earlier than expected. Yay! However, the internal washer was already jammed down to the end. I gently worked it back to us original spot. The minute I tried to slide it onto the pipe, it curled out of place. Was my pipe too big-NO! I cut a piece and tried dropping into to open. Stuck right at the mouth. The new set screw set up was off. I tried calling Moen customer support and got loops of automated messages. Customer support nada. My whole home is Moen. I don’t care about the price. Old school Moen had value. Now I’m stuck with inferior replacement parts. So infuriating.

OEM Worthwhile
While not inexpensive, the original product rather than a universal product was much easier to install and higher quality.

you can get one from HD for $30ish, good, easy, simply, branded too. but looks very cheap and light weighed. would it last long? probably yes but I just love the overkill, with heavy material does it mean better? probably not just my own thought.
