Great Project!
I purchased two to do with my kid… we are homeschoolers and they are learning about animal shelters so I thought it would be a cool project to do and check back on to see if birds are using them. We both enjoyed it but modified them a bit. We added zip ties to the top planks so we could hang them from our trees. And purchased hanging wire and additional paint from the dollar store —- because what they give you is definitely only half of what you need to paint one whole house. I can’t speak on the longevity of the product, but it is definitely great quality and I look forward to seeing it being used by birds (or not because they still looks cute just bring in the tree).

Great gift
I gifted one to a child and one to my child. They had a great time painting. I had to help with assembly as they are 5. It’s pretty solid. No birds moved in yet. It did get knocked eight foot out of a tree in a storm and didn’t break. We added another nail to hold it better then just the one included.

Great product, cute birdhouse
I love this birdhouse. So easy to assemble and a nice size. I saw other people complaining about gaps in it, but those are there to provide circulation so the birds don't suffocate! It is not a problem as far as I'm concerned. I painted the leaves first, then stained it, assembled it and finished it with a coat of spray varnish to seal it. I also added a perch by drilling a hole and using a wooden dowel which took all of 15 seconds. Looking forward to hanging it up in the spring. I'm ordering more to make as Christmas gifts.

Simple, fun, birds love it!
My 6 year old put this together mostly by himself (his hands got tired from all the screws and I took over near the end). It took him over an hour to screw it together and paint it, but he enjoyed it. He built it l spring of 2021 and since fall of 2021 we've had a family of birds in it. Three giant babies in there right now getting close to flying age. They seem to love it! He's so proud that he madea home for local wildlife.

Fun project
Fun project to do with the kiddo's. Good to teach them how to build something basic that doesn't have a screen or have to be connected to the internet.

Great!!
I bought these bird houses for my grand daughters. (Ages 4 and 7) They had so much fun painting them. And we had so much fun watching them. I put the houses together. I don't think these would be OK for the grand daughters to assemble. But, I would buy these again. They are very well made and easy to paint. You would not gone wrong!

overall great product - just needs more paint for ambitious little painters!
Overall this was a great product. My little guy has developed a new interest in birds due to a robin setting up her nest on our deck area. He was super excited to get this and create a new home for the birds in his yard. Given that he wanted to paint the entire thing, I will say that the paint provided is not enough! We ended up adding our paint supply and bigger paint brushes to the mix. The wood seems thick and sturdy enough and everything except a screwdriver is included -- I will say we made the mistake of jumping right into painting haha take a second and read the directions. They really are simple directions but we just jumped in. We ended up with three pieces that my son proudly painted before i realized we had painted on the wrong side of the wood.

My six year old grandson had a wonderful time building and painting this. As the wood was pre-drilled it was relatively easy for him to do himself with guidance from grandad. He was so proud of himself to have made something which also had a use.

easy and cute. there are spaces a bit between roof pieces and no way to ever clean it out unless you remove some screws. very nice kit though.
