Apple shape: Go with your hip measurement to choose size

My dimensions: 5'5", 168lb, basically 'apple' shaped 42-41-42, clothing usually XL. Purchased: Medium. This thing is great! I haven't used shapewear before, and admit I am trying not to judge myself, but treating it like 'posture' training wear. This is to fit into a somewhat slim cocktail dress at an event, as this apple shape makes it really hard to buy clothes. I got a just-in-case Large, but was surprised to be able to cram into a Medium once it went over my hips.. that is the main squeeze area getting into them. Once you carefully (no yanking, don't want holes) get them past the hips it's fine, light, stretchy and comfortable. Despite the squeeze pulling them up the hips, it is not overly tight on the thighs and no internal organs feel rearranged. You may want to adjust the shoulders for comfort.. I think the larger sizes get 'taller' as well as wider. It DID compress and smooth my tummy a couple inches (the goal) and generally gave a nice seamless, smooth effect under fabric for whole torso. You can see the review where she photographed her body and I had same effect.. about 1.5" slimmer, very nice. No weird bumps or lines. I will keep the just-in-case large, but this is a great look for events wear/formal/business etc. If you stand up straighter the effect is even better. A good reminder to stand up and lightly engage the tummy but you can still move, dance, or eat in this. The crotch gusset is generous, though I recommend no underpants, a wide legged crouch stance, extra paper and Jedi mindfulness for peeing! It's comfortable once on. Don't wear too often, but (if you are not wearing to recover from postpartum/surgery etc) this is very handy for occasional self image mental backsliding or photo-op events! Fight the patriarchy but build strength in and guard your soft center. Recommended.

Love love love!

I am SO impressed with this bodysuit! I have never worn shape wear before and couldn’t be more pleased with this first try. I am 5ft, about 170 lbs, hourglass and went with a large. At first, I was afraid it was too small or that I might damage the material as the thigh and chest material is quite thin. But the overall fit was just right and met any hope I’d had for results! My silhouette is smoother and the fit is extremely comfortable. I also love that even when wearing just a cotton bralette, the support this bodysuit gave my chest was better than any overly padded push up bra. For the fit and the price, I’ll be ordering again!

It works!

I am not very experienced with shapewear. I only had a pair of shapewear shorts 15 years ago (and wasn't a big fan of them); I was not sure what to expect. I am size 6-8 pants and M tops. I am also 32F bra size so anything with a built-in bra would not fit me correctly. So I bought this. I wasn't looking to slimming effect, more for smoothing my fat rolls. I needed to fit into a rather clingy pencil skirt that I was wearing during a professional event (with a tight top). It worked as intended, and surprisingly, it was not (too) uncomfortable. The fabric is thin (but not pantyhose thin) and keeps everything in place without making you feel like you cannot breathe. The shorts did not ride up, which I was afraid of (I have big muscular thighs). Overall, it is a good product.

Best bodysuit yet!

I have tried many different bodysuits and they are always extremely tight that I hate to even put them on. This one is very comfortable and not extremely constricting, it compliments your body well (no back fat), and you can’t tell your wearing anything under your clothes. This doesn’t shift where you constantly have to pull up or down. Will be buying another soon!

Love it!… Except when you have to pee

Most comfortable shape wear I’ve owned! Love it! But trying to pee in this thing is a different story! Good luck! I’d love to know how other people did it without peeing on themselves!

Great fit and shaping but so noisy!

I'm 5', about 185 pounds, and I ordered an XL. The fit is great and I love how it shapes me but the sound of the material rubbing together over my thighs is terrible!

Pretty good slimmer

I did like it and the size and fit is accurate. I found the shaperX to be more slimming especially in the tummy area however this one is for a fraction of the price and so that was a plus. ShaperX was more control fit but also was almost double the price

I… I don't hate it

Usually I buy Shape wear while preparing to be disappointed and this actually worked out for me. I feel like it’s going to smooth things out nicely without any weird lines and be reasonably comfortable. Pleasantly surprised.

Comfortable

I tried it on. Seems comfortable and does enhance your shape. Haven’t worn it all day yet or used the bathroom so not sure if my opinion would change. It’s very thin which hides any lines which is a plus

Great for belly, less for thighs.

I'm kind of a strange sizing because I have wide hips and a large bust but a small waist (classic hourglass) so I chose a medium to fit my waist. I'm glad that i did because the tightest part of this (by design) is around the waist. If you look closely at the pictures you can see that it's a thicker fabric on the body of the garment in a swimsuit shape. This fabric is less flexible and is the part that had the strongest hold, while the legs are thinner and stretchier and have less of a shaping action. It's actually incredibly comfortable. The legs aren't too tight on me and really the thinner fabric on the legs works most to smooth rather than heavy duty shaping - so if you're looking for something that will shape your legs most, there is probably a better product out there for you. I just like the legs to get rid of thigh chafing and make it more comfortable. The shaping on the waist is great, though. It comes up nice and high at the back so there is no flab caught in a space between your bra strap and the shaper. The straps are very soft and comfortable which I am endlessly relieved by because I've had very uncomfortable ones in the past. They also don't cut into my breasts to give your four boobs which I was worried about as a 30G size since these things aren't really built for me. The wide v cut of it really comfortable and flattering, giving a little bit of support without being restricting. My only problem is that it's a little difficult to get the tight and inflexible waist part to pull over my hips. It's not too stressful but I was geniuinely worried that I had the wrong size before I managed it, then it fit perfectly once it was on. It could be a problem if you have particularly wide hips. Also, the sides of the 'swimsuit' thicker part are quite high so you may not like it if you carry weight low on your hips. I love it, so comfortable and really smoothes everything out and helps to hold in my belly. I could have paid three or four times the price for something like this so I'm really glad I chose this one.

Does the job

I am a size 14 and got the large one. Very comfortable and ironing out all lumps and bumps. Could have got away with a medium for extra shrinkage,if you know what I mean. Ok going to the toilet if you are very careful. No number twos in this though...you would have to take the whole thing off.

Leg hem rolls up

Fits nicely and smooths lumps and bumps. It's light enough to be non-binding and is quite comfortable to wear. As others have mentioned, going to the bathroom is difficult. The first time I tried it on, it sat smoothly on the thighs, but after wearing it for a few hours, the edge of the legs rolls up quite a bit, and you end up with a thicker roll at the bottom which is uncomfortable and also shows through a sleek outfit.

MOM/C SECTION POUCH

My biggest insecurity is my mom/c section pouch. THIS IS THE ONLY THING THAT HAS HELPED. I don’t feel so insecure anymore!!
