Very comfortable and easy to use

For easy of use, this is the best ice bucket. The handle is comfortable and easy to hold, the tongs hold ice really well, and the flip top makes this bucket easy to access with one hand when adding ice to your drink. Some other reviewers say it's not "stylish" but it looks nice I think. Just kind of silver and gray and it blends in to its surroundings in kind of a neutral way. After the length of an average party, 4-6 hours, you'll still have a lot of ice. It took about 24 hours for 100% of the ice in the bucket to melt when I tested it. Ice buckets that are double walled and vacuum sealed will perform much better at keeping the ice longer, but this one will keep it as long as most normal circumstances require. I would not hesitate to buy this.

Great ice bucket

Super impressed with this ice bucket. Purchased to go with the Frigidaire icemaker, which is also great. At night when the icemaker is full, I emptied the cubes into this ice bucket take it upstairs, where I have a mini fridge in my bedroom. I put the ice bucket in the mini fridge (not a freezer) and the next day the ice is still intact.

Perfect for our wetbar

Perfect size for our wet bar. I would suggest starting the ice making ahead of time so the ice builds up. We made ice and transferred it over to a ice bucket to have it on hand while more is being made...great for a get together

Nice little ice bucket. Saved me from fridge doom.

Well, it is hard to beat OXO products in general, so I expected this to be a decent ice bucket. It didn't disappoint. It's not elegant by any means. There are definitely fancier ones out there, including OXO models. But this is a great everyday kinda ice bucket. So, about a month ago, my fridge died, and left me iceless. You quickly find out how much you depend on your ice maker when your fridge dies. In the middle of summer. In 100°+ F temps. I suffered ice withdrawal. My backup fridge didn't have ample room for ice cube trays and some kind of storage. Not to mention that ice cube trays anger me. Who designs these things? This was clearly an Ice Crisis (tm). I bought a countertop ice maker. (Buy it. It's pretty great. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004VV8GOQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) I bought ice bags. Pro Tip: don't count on the drawstring to do anything but dump ice all over when you are getting it out of the freezer. Corollary Pro Tip: twisty ties or that awesome garden twist tie stuff that is coated wire. I use that stuff for everything. Fill bags only 1/2 to 2/3rd full. Use Twisty Method. No ice disasters. BUT..... not being able to just grab some ice out of the freezer to throw into my drink without fiddling with bags annoyed me immensely. I want EASY ice. Enter the OXO Good Grips Double Wall Ice Bucket with Tongs and Garnish Tray to save the day. I don't have a ton of open real estate on my countertop, so I didn't really want a 4L bin. I just needed something sturdy that wasn't too hideous to look at, and would keep enough ice to preserve my ice-sanity. This is perfect size. The garnish tray....I dunno how much that is worth. It's not super functional on a daily basis. For a party, yeah, maybe. But this ice bucket is kind of on the small size for a party. The little tray is kind of in the way of filling the ice bucket from the ice maker. Not a catastrophe. Can just remove it if you don't need it. I thought the tongs were going to be a joke, but they actually work GREAT for filling my water bottle of throwing a few cubes in a glass. My ice maker makes "large" and small bullet shaped ice, so this was a nice plus. It keeps the ice pretty well. It does start to fill up with water after a few (3 or 4 ?) hours. I did not time it, but by end of the day, you'll have a lot of water in there. My dogs love it. Nice and cold. So, I'd say it doesn't have superb insulation, but again, good enough for me to use through the day and just refill from ice maker as needed. For just me, it's exactly what I needed, and spot on. So, summary....it's gonna be on the small size for more than a couple of people unless you plan to refill it often. i.e. Party. Get something bigger. Tray is marginally useful, imho. Tongs work well. Nice size for countertop, especially if you lack space. Easy to clean. I like it.

Best ice bucket!

I get so tired of getting up in the middle of the night to get a cold drink. (Victim of menopause). So I decided too get this ice bucket so I can keep my water ice cold. It works like a charm. After an entire night the ice is still there and my water is still ice cold. Highly recommend.

i got some nice compliments

overall it looks and works perfect. The little dish is a nice touch for lemon/lime wedges etc. I had a party and a few different people commented one it and asked where i got it.

wonderful ice bucket

This ice bucket is a great size, with tongs on the side and a place for cherries, lemons or limes. It holds the ice frozen for at least 3 hours. I love it!!!

ONLY Ice Bucket you'll ever need!

It keeps the ice cold, it has drains so the ice isn't sitting in water melting faster, it has a super useful garnish tray that keeps them cold, and the tongs slide onto the handle on the side keeping them off sticky countertops! I'm telling you, THIS is the only ice bucket to get.
