Grandkids LOVE this doll!
This is a nice quality, realistic boy doll that I bought for my 3 grandsons - ages 4, 6 & 8. I usually get them something new to play with when they visit, and when I came across him and he was so cute, I thought I’d give them something different besides dinosaurs and the usual fare and dolls are good for teaching empathy and encouraging caring for other babies. He is anatomically correct, and they laughed hysterically over that, they had so much fun for hours they bathed, powdered, diapered, dressed and swaddled, held and rocked him, gave him “magic bottles” (from Dollar General), burped him, pretended he was crying and comforted him. They had so much fun that they each wanted their own doll, so I ran out to buy 2 more similar dolls (my little guy cried because he didn't have his own baby to put in the bath!). I had purchased the doll with the intent to keep it at my house for when they visit, but I sent all of them home with them:). This is such a great toy for boys or girls, and would also be a great therapy doll for depression, anxiety, autism, elderly, Alzheimer’s, etc. Great for gifting or keeping!

Very realistic newborn baby doll
My granddaughter has been sighing over "reborn" baby dolls but the price tags are hefty! I found this doll and the Asian girl doll (on this same page) and bought both. They are even more adorable than in the pictures! These dolls are anatomically correct (the male doll is uncircumcised) and have all of the folds and creases that you'd see on a real, newborn baby. The entire doll is made of vinyl - no cloth body - so it's a sturdy doll and can handle being "loved" by a young child. The vinyl is not soft and squishy, though. It's fairly hard but the shape is such that it's easy to cuddle. All of the hair and features are painted on. The arms and legs and head can be turned. The eyes do not open and close. They do not eat or pee. These are simple, beautifully made dolls that are meant to be cuddled, dressed and undressed, dragged everywhere, slept with and played with by girls and boys alike. The dolls come with a terry cloth diaper that has velcro tabs for closure, an umbilicus band, a hospital wrist band, and a birth certificate. Interestingly, the Asian girl doll also came with a baby bottle but the boy doll did not. Some super small, Preemie size clothing fit well on these dolls. I also found some outfit sets made specifically for these dolls on Ebay that included a romper, T-shirt, another diaper, a diaper cover, a hat and booties at a very reasonable price. These dolls are very realistic looking and I discovered that they are often used by artists that "reborn" them. Reborning is a technique where dolls are carefully painted to have the natural skin colors of a real baby. They often add hand rooted hair, too. There are special paints called Genesis paints that are heat set to be extremely durable. While these dolls do have painted features, they do not have painted nail beds or mottled skin tone or blushing in the creases as the "reborn" babies do so I bought some Genesis paints to paint the nails and the lips a little deeper color and add blushing to the knees and elbows and creases. I'm no artist so I did not attempt all over skin tone, but it came out very well. I watched many of the videos on YouTube that show you exactly how to do it. Understand that these dolls are perfectly adorable just the way they come. I only added more hand painted detail because my granddaughter is almost 7 and has been longing for a reborn doll so I decided to attempt to make the dolls more like the ones she has been wanting. Otherwise, buy this doll and maybe a pack of preemie diapers and a couple of outfits and a receiving blanket and your child will be absolutely thrilled! UPDATE: I gave these dolls to my granddaughter for her birthday and she takes them everywhere! Even at her birthday party, everyone wanted to hold them. They look so real and their backs are curved like a real newborn so they nestle perfectly into the curve of your arm. Real preemie diapers fit perfectly. My granddaughter has bathed these babies several times - an activity she gets a kick out of. I think these are the best dolls I have ever purchased.

Vinyl a little hard but durable
A little hair would have made perfect durable vinyl a little tough but washable and for smaller children they would have been perfect but my daughter had already received them so I had to send them back

They fixed the belly button! Now this is perfect.
I bought the boy doll two years ago when my second grandson was to be born, so that his soon-to-be big brother could get used to the idea of a "real" baby in the house. That one had the funkiest belly button-it gave me the willies. My babies never had such a weird (and huge) belly button...it was a huge drawback to the doll. So, I hesitated to get the girl one, now that I have a granddaughter on the way. Well, I jumped in. Even with the weirded out belly button, it's adorable and looks very real. This little one arrived and has a normal looking belly button :). I am so happy. Now it's the perfect little lifelike doll. Both boys love her, and they cart her around everywhere...well, actually, they cart them both everywhere. LOL

It's small, but that's what I wanted since I'm purchasing it for a 1-year-old
I like it. It is exactly what I figured I was ordering. It is anatomically correct, which is ideal for parent who are looking for Montessori aligned toys. It is also small, which is ideal to give to a toddler who is learning how to positively interact with babies.

Beautiful baby!
These vinyl dolls are just amazing. I already owned this boy, but bought a second one to strip the paint and reborn him. He's a preemie, but he can fit in most size 0 with a little wiggle room. You can buy any pacifier and cut off the nib, and he will take it! The gloss on his eyes and lips is a super nice tough i wouldnt have expected out of a factory made doll. All in all, he would be a perfect gift for any child (keep in mind he is anatomically correct, so he has privates) but he is also a perfect little doll for anyone wanting to get into reborns but dont have the money for a "real" reborn baby. Perfect.

Cute but weird smell
Bought this doll as a gift for my niece. The doll itself is cute, however, the packaging was damaged and the doll has a very musty smell. Hopefully after a few days out of the box the smell will subside. 3/5 stars just because of the smell.

Wow! I am lost for words! my baby boy came and when I saw him I really thought he was real! his details are amazing! better word incrediable! he is in my opinion better than a reborn! I absolutely adore him! thank you so much to the Amazon team and the factory that made him! I'm in love with this incredible doll! Most realistic doll I have ever seen!
I bought this doll to prepare my 16 month old daughter for the arrival of her baby brother. I wanted something realistic and anatomically correct and that’s exactly how I would describe this doll. The life like details are incredible....the doll makers are more like sculptors! Very happy with this purchase!
