good drill...even better price

This drill rocks! For 65 bucks you can't expect anything more... and in fact, I expected way, way less! I am not a contractor who has to use the thing everyday, but I have used it twice now...for mortar and grout for a kitchen remodel project. This thing works a lot better than I hoped it would given the price point. I cant speak to durability, but I can say that buying this was cheaper than renting one from home depot and im sure it will last at least several jobs. You really can't go wrong. If you're a DIY weekend warrior like me, and find yourself debating whether to buy this drill or rent one from your local box store...pull the trigger on this one...its worth it.

Looks nice but missing piece

Everything looks nice but missing the screw to hold the Spade Handle on. I’ve looked through the box and packaging with no luck and I don’t want to return the whole thing when it’s just missing a screw so I’ll try to figure something out.

Great for Mixing Drywall Mud

Remodeling about 600 sq ft of my house and hung lots of sheetrock. I ordered this hefty drill to mix the mud as my high-rpm Dewalt started smoking rather quickly. This drill was made for mixing and I expect it will last a long time despite not being a name-brand product. And you'd better hand on tight when you use it as it has a lot of torque - it didn't hesitate at all mixing the 5-gal buckets of mud. Giving it a 4-star rating for now to see how it holds up. I ordered this from the Amazon Warehouse so it was used and in fact that first one was DOA but the 2nd one was in great condition and was attractively priced. My experience with AW has been hit and miss - sometimes there are parts missing, product damaged more than noted, or just not quite what I expected and other times I'm pleasantly surprised. I had both experiences with this purchase.

Great value! Gets it done

I’m a contractor in the middle of a shower remodel and my big brand new expensive mixer went up it was ordered as a quick fix due to the one day delivery have only used to mix 100 pounds of mortar at this point but absolutely cannot complain does what it’s supposed to does not make a mess mixed mapeis mortar to the perfect consistency w out struggle. Not sure what people expect for a $60 mixer but no complaints on this end. No bells whistles or fancy aesthetics but gets it done! As for Longevity I can’t say but in my case it’s paid for itself the first day

Unboxing

Haven't actually drilled with it, but, out of the box, I found; 1. It did have some oiliness spread over part of it. Likely just seeps out from some internal lubrication? Easy enough to wipe off. and 2. There were a couple of philips screws that were not seated all the way. I put about 1/2 - 3/4 turn on them and checked all the others. I plugged it in and spun it and I must say it seems smooth and not more noisy than expected to me. I should be able to update this review in a couple of weeks.

Noisy, smell and heavy...but also very strong

This is not a high end drill. I turned it on and was astonished by the noise of the gears. I also got a ton of smell and would highly recommend to break this unit in outdoors. But I needed a drill to mix some coating in a 5 gallon bucket and it did a perfect job. This thing has some solid weight to it. Don't expect to carry it around in your backpack. It's perfect for what it is. I'll mostly using it for mixing mortar, etc... If you want a drill for daily use and that last 5 or 10 years then better get a Bosch or Milwaukee. This one is not in their ballpark. For an amateur like me it'll do just fine.

Cant beat for the price.

Works great. Has high torque at low speeds just as a mixer should. Have been using to mix thinset last 3 weeks can mix an entire 50lb bag and wants to spin entire bucket to point I have to hold bucket from turning. No complaints for the price. That being said it is extremely loud, some of the features like speed lock would be better swapped out with some higher grade parts. You can tell several parts are very cheap housing, trigger, handles (that was expected it was only 60 dollars). If you only mix occasionally or even all the time this is well worth every dollar. I can buy 3 of these for 1 dewalt.

Powerful at a fraction of the cost !

Ordered this drill and less than 12 hours of placing my order it was delivered and I immediately put in a spade paddle and gave it a test run in a new 5 gallon bucket of drywall mud. In less than 2 minutes I mixed the entire bucket with ease and a very powerful drill for the buck. Note: For $9.99 I added the extra protection plan just for my peace of mind.

BEAST OF A DRILL! Buy this for metal working.

Absolute beast of a drill. I do welding and metal work daily, I have a large 3/4HP drill press and this drill keeps up with it. Bought it for the purpose of drilling holes for vehicle winch bumpers (too big to fit into my press). Goes through steel with minimal effort. I have an 18V cordless drill that requires your full weight to go through steel, this one takes minimal force. Huge range of speed selections. I use the lowest speed exclusively, perfect for putting holes in metal. Overall love this drill. Even though the extra handles are plastic they have held up great and are very durable. Only downside is its pretty heavy, however the trade off of needing minimal force to punch holes makes it well worth it.

Glad I purchased

Bought this to replace a Mastercraft hammer drill I was using to mix paint, mortar and drywall mud. This drill powered through the drywall mud with no issues at all. Made the Mastercraft look like it was struggling. Well worth the money. Will update review if it doesn't last the year.

Works great. People complained about oil on drill - many steel items ship with a coating of oil.

I have a 30 year tool. It was coated in oil as well..... 30 years of use. I'm happy with the drill so far. It activates a car lift that my 6 amp drill couldn't lift.
