Works with my Kenmore oven
This was a direct replacement for the brains of my Kenmore oven that was fried when a truck took out a utility pole in front of my house. In my case the top "burners" still worked, but the oven was completely inoperable. You'll need to peel of and reuse the overlay; I used a putty knife to get mine off and there was enough adhesive left to just stick it on the new control board. Just ensure you unplug or breaker off the oven before you start digging around inside. I took the attached pictures to make sure I got the plugs back in their proper positions. The charred black arc is what fried during the power surge. It took longer for me to clean under the stove than to replace the board, it was < hour before I was ready to use it from start to finish.

Kenmore Oven Control Board
The relay that controls my oven on my 2009 Kenmore oven (model 790.97432801) went bad. In order to correct this, it is necessary to replace the entire oven control board ( which contains the defective relay).When the relay went bad it allowed the oven to overheat and kicked out the F10 code. The control board replacement is not complicated and once the power was disconnected I accessed the board in the back of the oven and moved the wiring from the old board to the new board, one wire/harness at a time. I also snapped a picture of the existing wiring for reference. You do need to removed the overlay from the old board and attach it to the new control panel. Take your time and the cover will come off undamaged and can be reused. The new control panel was installed in about 15 minutes and works fine.

Exactly as the original
This fit my Kenmore range model # 790.97432802 perfectly, and it was very easy to change out. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it doesn't come with the overlay (part # 316419812). It was difficult to get the old one off. It took a heat gun, and still some of the white color stuck to the old piece, and now I have a clear hole on my nice stoves display. I always take very good care of my stuff and my range looks brand new even though it's over 6 years old, and I just hate it had this big blemish on it. This part was almost $200 and the cost is understandably so, for what it does, but I still think it should come with the overlay, it's just a sticker but they want $150 and up for it!! I can't see paying that, nor can I afford it. This particular piece does work well though, and was easy to change out.

Works fine even though it's not like the original.
After a lot of looking, I couldn't find the board that matches my 10 year old stove, but this one seemed close. The buttons were definitely not in the same place and the features were somewhat different but I took the chance and I am glad I did. It works really well except one button which we don't use gives an F17 error. One feature that is a nice upgrade is the display shows the current stove temperature instead of just showing what selection was made. Hopefully this one will last another 10 years.

Easy to replace
The part was easy to replace and the exact one needed for my range. I liked that the seller reached out to me asking for my Range serial number and model number to make sure it was the exact part needed. It arrived way earlier than expected.

my oven quit working. this new control board fiex it
It came quickly. I am glad that I did not have to buy the whole new oven. The overlay was not difficult to remove - I used the hair dryer and the putty knife. I had to wedge the knife in between the overlay and the board in order to carefully remove it without having to stretch it. Overall, very pleased with the control board for my Kenmore oven.
