Long reach for the BBQ
Short tongs work but nice to keep your hands away from the hot charcoal. I liked the longer length and great quality. It locks closed when storing between use. I wash after use and place it inside the BBQ with a Heat glove for next time.

Excellent!
I've had these for 2 grilling seasons and they've held up beautifully. The extra length is terrific for keeping your hands away from the heat of your grill. Easy to grip and they clean up great in the dishwasher. I can find no fault with these.

The length of the tongs is the same as the Oxo 16-inch
Good quality, and very sturdy. The length of the tongs is the same as the Oxo 16-inch, the 18-inch measurement includes the hanger. Though the hanger is shaped in a way to make them easier to lock. The spring hinge is stronger than I expected, and took some time to get use to it. This becomes an annoyance when I am tuning over a lot of pieces of food, and does cause some fatigue. Fortunately I don't grill/BBQ large quantiles of food very often.

Best grilling tongs on the market!
I've used a lot of different grilling tongs, and these are by far the best! They are sturdy and well made, they are a solid construction that allows you to grip heavy meat without the tongs bowing. They touch at the very tip so you can also pick up small things like asparagus.

Heavy duty, 16" plus hanger
These are 16" tongs, with a 2"+ lock and hanger loop. They are much thicker than the standard restaurant supply tongs that bend if you look at them funny.

Good quality tong set by OXO
Nice set of BBQ tongs, they are exactly as advertised. Well packaged and arrived on time. The tongs have rubber pieces on the sides to give a better grip when using that can be removed for easy washing. The bottle opener on the side is convenient, and so is the metal loop on the top so you can hang them. I initially had trouble seeing how to lock them together for easy storage as they are different from my old set of tongs. For anyone who’s wondering, just hold the tongs in closed position and grab the loop on the top, then either pull it straight up, or push it down into the tongs depending on what position you want them to hold. This lock is better than others I’ve seen, as it stays in place and won’t move around locking and unlocking at random. These are also very light weight. Another quality item from oxo. Highly recommend

A must for any serious BBQer!!
I have purchased and returned many inferior tongs that just weren’t up to the task. These tongs are almost identical to a pair that I purchased 10years ago and wore out. I BBQ and smoke meats extensively and as such, I use tongs almost every day. Rubber handle fits well and spring is heavy duty and there is an overall sturdy feel to these tongs. The are definitely of high quality and up to the task. Buy them, you won’t be disappointed!
