I like this fitting but it has one minor issue.

This fitting provides a good water tight connection to my pistol nozzle. It took more than a little effort to push it into the hose, but that's a good thing because it makes for a very tight seal that can stand up to a lot of pressure without leaking. The one issue it has is that the plastic spiral strain relief has a loose fit to the clamping nut and will slide off way too easily. I fixed this with a single layer of Scotch tape wrapped around the nut. The fit is tighter now but can be pulled apart with minimal effort. At least it won't just slide off the way it did without the tape. I may try two layers to see if it is not too thick to push the strain relief onto the nut. All in all I'm happy with it. I no longer have that horrendous leak that was in the original fitting. I would recommend this to anyone who has that problem. It's much cheaper than buying a new hose.

Beast option for a leak proof hose repair

I have repaired many hoses, almost all leaked and in short order failed. So after 21 months of use this hose fitting is still going strong, no leaks etc. I highly recommend this product.

tough install but it works

The videos show the support piece sliding on. It took a lot of effort to move it a millimeter at a time. Instead of minutes it took closer to an hour. Way better than the original which looks like it was made to fail and did so in less than a year. Not sure why they did not make it with this to start

Works great and a lifesaver

Works great and perfectly. I bought two of these and turned an old hose into two useful ones (instead of throwing it in the bin). Highly recommend and will buy more (no leaks too)

Pour le prix, il y bien d'autres solutions qui s'offre à nous. Oui le fini est impeccable et le produit est de très bonne qualité. Mais trop dispendieux !

Love this thing

Bought this to repair a typical hose from Canadian tire or Home Depot. Wasn’t sure if it would work since it’s not the Flexzilla brand hose, but worked like a charm on a standard 5/8 rubber hose. Sure it’s like 10 times the cost of a barbed fitting and hose clamp, but nothing sucks more than trying to twist one of those fitting together with another hose or water spigot and it spins or skins your hand….. this flexzilla end looks great, tightens up nice, no slipping, no hurting your hands on a hose clamp….. even though it costs a fortune, I will definitely be buying more when other crappy hoses start to leak at the fittings. If I didn’t already have a million hoses, I probably would have bought a roll of the flexzilla hose too. Not sure how long it will last, but I’m loving it so far!

Very good quality but expensive

Good quality and easy to install. To install, make sure the hose is cut clean 90', disassemble all 3 pieces, slide the spiral fitting than the nut on to the hose. on the hose fitting put a bit of food grade grease, i,e Super Lube around it or inside the hose, that put it on flat surface and force the hose on to the fitting pushing the hose all the way until it bottom outs on the fitting. put a bit of food grade grease around the threads and screw on to the fitting until snug. No leaks!

No spinning like original did

Still better than the replacement garden hose end I could have bought at my local hardware store but I wish It would have spun freely like the original did. Cut off damaged hose end/ slide threaded sleeve over hose/ insert new hose end inside hose/ slide threaded sleeve up to newly inserted end and thread pieces together. Unless you have 2 large wrenches you’ll need to use 2 pairs of channel locks to tighten then together. Place 2 or 3 layers of thick tape on both side of the channel looks to avoid the teeth on them damaging the aluminum hose end. The two ends pinch the hose there for no spinning like original did. Hope this helps somebody.
