Eddie Bauer bait and switch!

Yes, the label says, Eddie Bauer however the Bankrupt company "Perfect Fit" is the manufacture. Therefore the 5yr warrantee is out the window. If you go to the perfect fit mattress pad on amazon the identical piece is about fifteen dollars cheaper. Furthermore, the reviews are very mixed, albeit some of them scary. Like the connectors burning the sheets and the DC transformers making a buzzing sound. I've always used heated mattress pads since my landlord is quite frugal with the heat. I've tried all different brands from Sunbeam to Biddeford, my last that this new notorious one replaced. None of them last for more than three or four years. How people get more life out of them is beyond me. So, my first impressions of my new Eddie Baur/Perfect Fit mattress pad. Wow! if it doesn't burn or break this pad is awesome! You CANNOT feel the heating wires, at all. The pad is a nice soft fleece that feels soft under the sheets, especially so under my very expensive fitted silk sheet. On the Hi setting, it heats up fast in minutes and Hi would be too hot to keep on all night. Like my old Biddeford, I would dial it down to 4. This pad has a timer that shuts it off after 10 hours. Honestly, after reading these reviews I'm afraid to leave it on all night. Some reviews state the lowest setting is sufficient. It has two transformers, two plugs, and two controllers for each side of the bed. I have not heard any "buzzing " sound so far and the connectors at the edge corners by the head of the bed have not overheated as of yet. Will keep my fingers crossed. I'd like to think that Perfect Fit gave Eddie Bauer their best products.. before they went under. Time will tell....... Would I recommend this product? Yes so far, so good. Just know that you are getting a product with no warranty from the company. Check with amazon customer service about this.

How did we ever sleep without this heated mattress pad?

We live in God's Country in a log cabin and our master bedroom is in the basement. When we have a nice fire upstairs in the wood burning stove the central gas heater never runs as it will be in 70s to 80's upstairs where the thermostat is located. So, by the time we go to bed the basement master bedroom hasn't had heat for hours and will be in upper 50s to low 60s depending on outside temps. We simply turn on the mattress pad 15 minutes before we go to bed and then run downstairs and hop into a nice toasty bed. So far so good, both controllers worked great, and we find that even in this cold bedroom somewhere between setting 2 and 4 seems to be perfect to sleep all night. Any higher and you will be too warm. Because of all the issues I read online I paid for the 3-year extended warranty but hopefully I won't have to use it. We have unplugged the electric heater in the master bedroom now that we have this mattress pad and am saving $30 a month in electricity too boot! Buy it, you won't be sorry and if you are worried then get the extended warranty for peace of mind.

Simple; Easy setup; Works Great!

We liked the first one we bought so much, we bought another! Thoughtfully executed product, right down to the packaging. Each side has a completely separate controller (each controller plugs into a grounded outlet). The connectors in the bed warmer are at the head, so no wires to route to the foot of the bed. Fit over our tall queen-sized mattress, even with its 4" memory foam pad on top. Operation is very simple: press the on button, dial in your setting (didn't even need to download a smartphone app or sign in to some irritating web thing). It looks and feels like a super-quality mattress pad. Low setting is nice, high setting is nuclear (dial is variable, no detents)! The dial is illuminated a gentle red color, not too bright. (No bright blue glaring LED that seems to be all the craze...don't these people try to sleep these other glaring products?). We keep the bedroom at 65F, so having this simply awesome pad to make us cozy is a real joy!

Snuggle into for its warmth and sleep peacefully

I don't know what the other reviewers definition of the temperatures of warm or of hot but let me tell you, the heated mattress pad I put on my bed, has a very wide range of heat. Outside it was 32 degrees F and we have our thermostat set at 65 degrees F during the winter. I started out with the setting at High because one of the reviews said this product did not produce much warmth. I very quickly was becoming like toast. I turned the temperature setting down to #3 and waited a while with the covers off. Even that level was, for me, too warm for sleeping. I ended up with the temperature setting on LO for the night. It was the right level of heat to sleep all night. This heated mattress pad is the one my wife and I can snuggle into for its warmth and sleep peacefully.

5 year warranty

Very nice, seems very high quality. Love the dail to select temp, continously variable. Has 10 hour auto-shutoff. Each side (queen size) uses their own electrical plug so you'll need 2 outlets. Connector to pad is in the corner. You can choose to have it at the head or foot of bed. I like that the pad uses DC to perform the heating so there is little or no EMF. The add-on warranty was not need as this comes with 5 year warranty.

Very good for chronic pain relief

I have have AS and cronic pain. Sleeping on this has really helped me wake up less stiff in the morning.

better than most UPDATED REVIEW------ 3rd time ANOTHER UPDATE !!!

At least as good as more expensive pads I have had in the past. It fit my deep queen size bed with material to spare. It gives off plenty of heat to warm the bed initially, and in the middle of the night if you wake up a little chilly, you can turn it on for a few minutes and you're comfortable again before you know it. This mattress pad is an excellent purchase. THIS STOPPED WORKING AFTER TWO MONTHS. I TRIED CONTACTING THE COMPANY, BUT I GET THE "RUN AROUND" FROM EVERYONE I SPEAK WITH. I HAVE BEEN WAITING TWO WEEKS FOR AN ANSWER FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE. BUYER BEWARE !! Customer service finally answered, they sent me a prepaid return label and told me once they received the mattress pad back, I would get a FULL REFUND. After three weeks, today I got it back in the mail with a note that says they can't offer a refund because "it's not an Eddie Bauer product". These people are cheats--plain and simple.
