Right on fit. Broken in and comfortable after first day of stomp'n around. Look great. Dead cow (leather) smell not offensive and almost gone on day 2.

Great First Boot

I have wanted cowboy boots for more than 40 years and I finally decided to get some. My biggest concern was not being able to try them on before ordering a pair, but Amazon makes it easy to return them if they don't fit. Well, these fit great and I will not be returning them! I'm absolutely stunned, because I thought they'd be painful or stiff or some other issue, but right out of the box I love these! The color appears consistent, but I do see minor flaws in the manufacturing process (A crack is beginning to appear on the sole at the bend.) My feet, which I think are slightly on the narrow side, are very comfortable and it feels like a glove. I consider this an entry-level boot because of the price and quality. They probably won’t last forever, but I work in the city and live in the suburbs, so they are perfect for my lifestyle. UPDATE 28 November 2022: I loved the black cherry ones so much I bought the black ones. Everything is the same as above. I feel really fortunate to have gotten these and the price is great!

Beautiful pair of boots. The stitching and materials used are way above average and look amazing. The size I ordered is spot on and they are very comfortable. I’ve worn them once already and received several compliments. Will definitely get more boots from them.

Dan Post is a great boot!

I’ve owned and worn many brands of boots in my nearly 60 years. Without exception, my Dan Post have been some of the most consistent in good fit and excellent wear. I’ve had several “expensive” boots that did not give me the same comfort, wear, or quality as my Dan Post boots. A few pair have lasted me over 20 years (resoled). For the money, it really is hard to beat these boots…you can spend a lot more money, but why would you want to? Find the right fit for you, then wear them like they were your only pair…you’ll see when they break in…outstanding fit and comfort!

A picture is worth a thousand words. These boots sell themselves!

After several years of not having worn western boots (about 7) I decided it was time to return to them. (Bored of converse, quite frankly lol) Dan Post has a reputation for comfort, and so it was an easy decision, also buttressed by the many great reviews. Have ya'll seen that beautiful black cherry Milwaukee boot? We are going to take a good look at it here! I know that a lot of people are concerned about the representation of the color of the various boots in contrast from your phone or computer screen vs how they look in person. So I've included some pictures of them in various lighting conditions and how they contrast with a couple diff pair of jeans, and I've taken a few pics w/ camera flash. The pictures w/ the black pants on the tiled floor is under bathroom lighting at night. The picture with blue jeans on wooden floor is in a room lit only by outside light coming in through windows in the morning. The picture out by the angel statue is my front porch (roof over head, shaded from direct sunlight) also in the morning. And the picture of the boots alone on the asphalt is to show you a good shot of them exposed to direct sunlight. The shots over carpet and of the inside of the boot are captured with the use of camera flash. Hope you all enjoy these pics. And to think these boots essentially sold themselves to me because of the plain thumbnails in the advertisement. They are even more gorgeous in person! Well I sincerely hope these pictures give you a good visual representation more than my words ever could. But I will say these boots have a lot of personality to them, gorgeous under any circumstance! Don't you agree? Also, they are absolute comfort right outta the box. What else is there to say? Dan Post Company makes one hell of a boot! I give these boots 5 stars for both comfort fit & feel, and aesthetics. All that's needed now is the test of time, see how they hold up. Wearing them daily! Arrived punctually. A handsome, well-made pair of boots as Dan Post always are. They also don't need 'breaking in.' As soon as the sole leather softens they fit like a glove - another benefit of buying Dan Post boots.

Good fit. Good quality. Comfy. Just an amazing buy. I live in the tropics and wear my Dan Post boots frequently. Pair them boots with an over the calf cotton sock.
