Perfect!

I bought this for my brother for his sugar cubes. His sugar cubes are in a jar and this Tong was the perfect size. It's super small, perfect for fitting into jars with a lid.

Cuisinox Sugar Cube Tongs

These tongs arrived on time and are exactly as pictured and described. They have a nice gentle pattern on the handle, and the scallops on the ends help grip a sugar cube well. I chose these because of the design for the great price and easy to clean, and not take up a lot of space. I've never had sugar tongs before, but my hubby likes sugar with his morning coffee, but finds reaching into the sugar bowl is not so easy with a spoon or even fingers. I'm hoping the tongs will reduce the spillage factor of shaken out sugar or spooned sugar over the table. Plus, it's a more consistent measure of how much sugar is in the cup. I tried them out and was very pleased that the scallops are exactly the size of the sides of the sugar cube, and grip it without a lot of squeezing. That being said, they actually don't strike me as a child's tea party toy as they are well tensioned stainless steel. If taking sugar cubes is all these tongs are used for, I expect they will last a very long time.

They work fine for sugar cubes

They do the job, but are fairly chintzy and the metal is thin. They work fine for sugar cubes. Not sure how long they will last (at least as long as the kids don't get a hold of them for play.) If you found this review helpful, click YES below.

Just what I needed

I like having a cup of tea in the morning in a tea cup, often have to use my fingers to get my lump of sugar but these are made perfect for the job, the shell is made to pick up the sugar without slipping and small enough it doesn't take up much space. Just what I had hoped for

Poorly Made

I purchased these tongs for my young daughter to practice her fine motor skills (ala Montessori). I was excited to see the little shell shape as a nice accent, but when they arrived, they were squashed flat and bent out of shape. They are very flimsy, and so they were easy to set back into place (sort of), but you can tell that they are mass-produced and not much care is taken with their quality. Like the previous reviewer, I also recommend Crate and Barrel for a better product. It may sound picky, but, hey, they're sugar tongs, and people who buy them have an eye for detail. Otherwise, who would purchase them?

Good quality - not thin or flimsy steel

Excellent quality stainless steel sugar cube tongs! I really like the seashell design as it adds a cute flair to what would otherwise be just basic serving tongs. They easily grasp sugar cubes to sweeten your tea or coffee and look great when hosting and serving guests.
