Solid buy - will buy another pair

I did quite a few hours of research trying to find a style of boot like this. I wanted a chelsea style boot with some nice tread on the sole. The problem I kept running into is that most of these fairly narrow and I have some giant wide feet. I was very sad when I found these and saw that the 13 don't come in wide. I gave it a shot anyway because I've had luck with Clark's in the past and I am happy to report that the normal 13s are fairly wide. The toe box is extremely wide for a non-wide shoe which is always the literal pain point for me. The heel section is also fairly wide (perhaps too wide). I would give these 5 stars but my pair has a weird 'creak' when I walk... I think its a defect in the sole...we'll see if it goes away after breaking in. Either way, I will buy again.

Good Real Leather Boot for Price Range

These boots are made from a good supple, tumbled leather that requires little to no break in period. Decent quality for price, I buy, wear and review boots pretty frequently working on a farm. Only downside I see after a few weeks is the amount of sole under the ball of foot is a little thin but a good insole (which I use in any boot anyway) can do the trick to help make more comfortable. B+

Great Footwear

4th pair I bought myself, they’re great for most occasions. But I mostly wear them for work, where I can find myself, as a Safety Specialist, walking on all kinds of surfaces. Best footwear short of construction Safety Shoes. Best fit for my size 10 1/2 W feet than other similar type shoes.

Don't judge a boot by its cover

The boots are great. When I got them they appeared scratched, but that could be because of the state of the packaging, I'm not sure. Regardless, they fit nicely and are comfortable enough to allow me to stand on my feet all day with no issues.

Good looking boot ..

These run a bit tight for me on the foot end. I returned them for this reason and also for the fact that on the ankle end, is shallow which caused my foot to slip up when I walked. Not a good feel.

Terrific quality, great looks.

My fourth pair of Clark's shoes. Always superior quality and always comfortable right out of the box. But, I wish the pull loop in back was big enough to get a finger into.

Not impressed!

First thing, these run large. I am an 11 1/2 to a 12 in most sneakers so with brands like Red Wing or Wolverine I'm usually an 11. I got these in an 11 and they were a bit to big. Length was fine but just know they are a very wide boot. Now to the really bad stuff. These are very uncomfortable on the job site. Despite the large sole these things are very flimsy and offer little to no arch support. I was shocked that my Red Wing Blacksmith (mini lug soles) and even my Wolverine 1000ml (leather soles) provided not only better arch support but much, MUCH better shock absorbing when walking on rocks or uneven ground. These would be ok to throw on to say go to the store but don't mistake them for a work boot. Another thing I was dissatisfied with is these are supposed to be water proof boots. I kid you not, the same previously mentioned brand (although not water proof) did a better job at keeping my feet dry. My feet got damp just walking through morning dew covered grass. Summary, if you like the style and just plan on this being a nice weather casual boot? They'd work. But for anything else they won't. Very disappointed in these.

They're alright

First of all, I got these for like $60. They are definitely NOT worth any more than this. These boots are alright. They look shiny and maroon in the pic. In reality they're a pretty dull brown with just a hint of maroon. So, not the colour I was looking for but I like the brown overall as a fall tone so I'm okay with it Tight boot shaft but I have very fat legs so for a normal person this is probably fine.

Excellent boot, but suede color is very dull compared to the picture

I found the color of the suede very dull, a kind of ratty brown compared to the lovely rust color suede in the picture so I returned the boot and instead bought the dark brown leather version. The boot is very comfortable but I have not worn it much so far so I will post an update on the boot quality / durability later but generally Clarks footwear is pretty solid so I have high expectations.
