Rugged Boots
We bought these for our son after wearing a similar boot by Carhart for 2 winters. This boot is rugged and warm, my son is hard on his boots. Working in heavy construction, mud, snow, welding and heavy equipment repairs. He wears his with Carhart wool socks -10 and says feet are not freezing- we have worn other top work boots- Carhart is doing a great job with this style boot- got a good thing don’t change it!

Great boots.
At first these boots were too tight but after about two weeks of wear they are easier to put on and take off. After months of use, they fit like gloves. These boots are amazing. Great sole. Can't feel rocks and bumps through the soles like a regular rubber boot. I drive a cement mixer truck. I've been through a lot of boots in my 12 years. These are the best yet. Money well spent.

Great boots
These boots are pretty great, honestly. I've been wearing these boots for almost 2 months now. Almost on a daily basis. I'm on my feet anywhere from 8 to 14 hrs per day and walk anywhere from 5 to 12 miles per day. These boots have kept up with me every step lol. They are stiff at first but the "rubber" does become more flexible over time. Comfort level is still pretty high. Even when that 10th hr ache starts. I work in a very corrosive environment and that has done them no favors. A pair of ordinary leather boots will last around a month and they are literally coming apart. Sulfuric likes munching on organic materials. With that being said, the only issue is the stitching is cotton thread. The seams came apart after about a week. It was expected due to the exposure. I just restitched with fishing line and off we went. They are very warm boots. If you plan to wear them daily then add a bottle of foot powder to your order lol. If you need a pair of rugged work boots then give these a shot.

UPDATE! Time to edit the review and buy some new boots.
After 9 months in these boots I though it time to write my final thoughts on these boots. I normally wear a 14 but these seem a bit big so a 13.5 would have been perfect except they don't make half sizes when you start getting up into sasquatch size feet. Don't ask me why, I think they're idiot's for that. So the boot will arrive as the stiffest piece of foot wear since the creation of concrete shoes and they will most likely cause a good amount of blisters. The safety toe makes them miserable in the woods if you have to either climb or descend uneven terrain. After 9 months the insoles needed to be replaced and since they are extremely waterproof, they do not breath at all and will start to stink pretty bad and I mean noticeable from a distance bad, as in, people will cross the street to get away from you, bad. Like paint peeling from the walls and birds falling from the sky type of stink. The kind of stench that can only be eliminated by a controlled detonation. But a boot dryer takes care of that. I would recommend some moisture wicking socks since the boot is covered in rubber and the upper is neoprene, no moisture gets out easily. On the up side I proved, just today as a matter of fact, that they are water proof all the way to the top, but a lot less after that. Then they do an amazing job of holding in every drop of water that may have got in and not letting any of it out. A good impromtu aquarium for a fish your hate Perhaps or possibly the worlds worst beer shoe. Overall if your like your feet dry from water but wet and stinking from sweat, these are a good choice. If your are looking for boots that will wear your feet into bloody stumps during the 3 month break in period, these boot are still a winner. But if all your concerned about is comfort and not clearing a room with your boot stink, than your need to take your business elsewhere because these are not for people like you. UPDATE: These boot are now going on 4 years old and it is time for some new boot so I thought I would give an update. These boot are incredibly waterproof and very, very warm. So they are great for winters in alaska. The tread is about useless and I wish it was a bit more aggressive because I have slipped more times than I can count. I standby them not being terribly comfortable, but after a year or so they finally break in. I don't regret buying these boots but I'm on the look out for a new pair and I wouldn't buy them again. With that being said they have served me fairly well and never leaked a drop until last month with well over 4000 miles walking in the woods with them. BUY A BOOT DRYER!
