Nice fitting shoe!

This shoe is well-fitted and sturdy. What I don't like is the attachment of the plates on the bottom of the shoe. The screws do not stay tight and the tap plate shifts. One screw fell out.

Good for tap class

These shoes fit well, and produce satisfactory tap sounds. They are reasonably comfortable, but haven't been worn for long periods of time.

Great product!

I am a long-retired ballerina. I teach Nia and ballet at a fitness studio and we recently added tap to our adult offerings. I signed up for the class and needing a wide width, I turned to Capezio for my shoes. I have always worn Capezio ballet slippers and character shoes. They are well-made and you order your street shoe size. They always fir!

I'm a beginner and this is my first pair, so nothing to compare them to but will comment on sizing

I bought a size 9W based on Capezio's website recommendation to go up a 1/2 size. I normally wear a size 8.5M-W in street shoes, so 9W seemed the best option to try. Good choice. Not too narrow, not too wide, not too short, not too long. I will say that I wear Crocs about 99.9% of the time, so having a shoe that is more "fitting" is going to take a little getting used to. My toes are going to have to get acquainted with each other again, ha ha. The shoes seem well made (wouldn't expect any less from Capezio - bought their ballet and gymnastic shoes many years ago as a young child and they were awesome) and taps have a nice sound. Now if they could just dance for me like magic....LOL UPDATE: Exchanged these for a 9.5W and they are much better. The 9s were rubbing too much on my big toe. Tried on some other shoes at a shoe store to discover that maybe my foot grew from an 8.5 to a 9 at some point, LOL I am old and spent too many days in uncomfortable shoes back in the day to have hurting feet now. So maybe the going up a half size is correct and I was wrong in my assumption.

Excellent shoes, size up a whole size

My 8 year old needed the next size in her tap shoes so I got a 3 and went with a wide width since she complained of the others smushing her toes sometimes. Well I ordered the next 3 sizes to be sure one would fit…the largest was the same size as her current ones. So I returned them all without difficulty and got the next whole size. They’re a touch big but we will deal with that since dance season is almost over…hope they’ll fit again next year! Good quality shoes. I do wonder why there has to be an actual buckle instead of velcro but she didn’t complain about it!

They Fit! They Fit! They Fit!

I have wide feet, so I was a little concerned when I started searching for a wide width tap shoe. I normally wear a size 8W, the widest part of my foot (around the toes) is 9 1/2 inches. For this tap shoe I ordered a 9W in black and it is a comfortable fit. I am so happy I found one that comfortably fits now I can spice up my exercise and cardio with tap lessons!

Very satisfied!

My daughter is 8 years old and she wears size 1 or 2 normal shoes. I ordered size 3 and they were to small for her feet. I exchanged them for a 4 wide and they fitted perfect.

my 11y.o grandaughter has just gone into size 2 outside shoes. after reading reviews of these tap shoes the advice was to order at least a size up and she says the size 3 is a good fit.

Great Quality & Great Price

Firstly, follow size directions from other reviewers! I did and I was absolutely pleased with my purchase. These are a very slender shoe. I have wide feet and flat feet. I normally wear a 9 comfortably, I ordered a 9.5. They fit very well and are supportive. These shoes are very comfortable. I am not an experienced tap dancer, but in the beginning stages. I loved the smell of the leather when I opened the box. I also loved the price, extremely reasonable for the quality of shoe. Very happy with this purchase.
