Tough and durable, but still easy to use; excellent build quality and performance
I'm very pleased with all aspects of this garden hose. The overall build quality is excellent, both in terms of the hose itself as well as the fittings. It compares very favorably, in terms of build quality, with hoses that cost twice as much, and is miles better than the cheap hoses. Even though it is made of rubber it still is easy to maneuver and coil. It stays pretty flexible when the temp drops, although it is easier to handle/coil when it is warm. There was a small amount of black material that came off the hose onto my hands when I first took it out of the package, but after just a few days of use of dragging it through the grass, my hands stay clean when handling it. Kink resistance is excellent. On the rare occasion when I get a kink it's easy to work out and doesn't set in permanently. The weight is not bad --the 75 foot one I have weighs about 14 pounds, so even if I have to pick up the entire spooled hose it's not difficult to handle. Could not be more pleased with this. An excellent value, especially since the lifespan is way longer than other hoses (I have another rubber hose that is 25 years old, lives outside year-round, and is still working great).

Just what I wanted
My 25 year old Craftsman hose started leaking at the nozzle connection. That drove me nuts. I wanted a hose with the same quality of the Craftsman. This hose does not disappoint. It is built with quality , does not kink and is very pliable. The connections on each end are of high standard as is the hose itself. I keep it on a hand rollup wheel and it winds easily. I throw my hoses in the basement during the freezing months as I learned the hard way years ago. Ice can do a number on any hose. I would purchase this hose again for sure.

High quality hose at a fair price
The fittings are very good quality as is hose material. Don't think it is genuine rubber but more of a black rubber/plastic polymer. However, the cover seems durable. Feels a little like rubber and does not kink easily. I'm especially looking forward if this hose remains easily bendable in 40 F weather when I wash my vehicles. Plastic hoses develop "memory" when cold and are difficult to unwind. I think this Briggs and Stratton hose will remain pliable in cold weather so I will probably buy another 50-foot length before Fall. Good value.

old school
37 years ago I bought a heavy duty Sears hose that I still have and use. This hose is better than that one and is heavier. It will outlast me and then my kids will have it. Delivered promptly. The couplings are strong and no nonsense too.

The item kinks.
The item kinks. Rolled the hose out completely straighten and it still kinks. I purchased a hose lile this previously and it did the samething. However it has provided me with the additional length I need. Just wish it did not kink so much.

Does resist kinking, but still requires care when handling. I did not encounter the problem with black material coming off on hands that some reviewers described.

Great so far
Nice hose. I haven't had any problem with kinking. It's a shame to pay so much for a decent hose but this is the best deal I've seen in a while. Most hoses have those awful connectors that seem to corrode right on to the spigot. This one has steel connectors and they work so much better. I'm pleased with the hose.

Faulty, split, not a true rubber hose
I just purchased this hose and in less than a week it developed a bubble. I called Amazon and they are sending me a new one. While I wait for the new one, this one split near the bubble to show it is only covered in rubber but is not a full rubber hose. It’s false advertising. I expected better. Not sure what will happen with the next one! Probably the same thing.

Do not waste your money!!
I have no idea where the positive reviews came from on this. What a waste of time and money. 1) My very strong athlete and weight lifter husband screwed the hose to the tap and sprinkler and there was absolutely no amount of tightening from keeping it from leaking everywhere on both ends. 2) When we decided to wrap it back up to return it, just by putting it back in the box, both of our hands and shirts (where it touched the hose) turned back. We had to use two types of soap and vigorous scrubbing to get it off. How annoying!

Best hose I've ever owned
I bought a few of these 3 years ago and I still love them. Bought one for my dad for Christmas 2 years ago and he asked for another last year. These are my go-to hoses as they are extremely high quality. The black on them comes off on your hands just when you first use them (honestly do people even read, the instructions clearly explain how to deal with this and that you're supposed to stretch it out in the sun fully first before using it). They don't kink at all and are just great hoses in general. A little pricey, but so much better than some of the others I've bought off Amazon, and night and day compared to the garbage "expandable" hoses that seem to be 99% of Amazon.

100% what I was looking for. Real rubber , high grade When it kinks because all hoses do it’s super easy to get out. Zero memory for kinks Some people commented on the hose leaving some black on your hands when you wrap the hose up but to me that’s good because it confirmed this was a good hose made with real rubber. Green house / industrial grade This is the kind of hose that you can kink for pressure changes while using and not worry about damaging the hose. I’m sure this hose will last me a good 30 years! All hoses I could buy in town are garbage modern materials hoses. When modern hoses kink the hose is damaged and the kick spot is permanent. Half the time their damaged on the shelf before anybody even buys them. Others are to soft and kink way to easy.

Starting leaking at the shoulder of the end connection 2 years later
I use this hose as a main connection to another hose on a reel. I then drain and store it dry in the fall for winter storage. After two years working service, the seam behind the shoulder of the end connection started leaking. I only ever hand tighten the fittings so don’t understand how it could’ve became damaged aside from fatigue. Unfortunately for me, The 1 year warranty ran out and the mfg refuses to provide any parts for repair (I asked for a white gasket if possible). I’ll try to find a working solution to fixing the hose and avoid throwing it out to the landfill.
