GREAT winter boots!
These were true to size and comfortable right out of the box. I ordered my usual size 7 and have worn them without socks and with heavy hiking socks. No breaking in needed at all. I finally got to wear them in the sub zero temperatures last week and they kept my feet warm and dry all day. I like that they are easy to slip on and take off too. No need to sit and pull or kneel and tie. The most important thing for me was the treads. I was looking for something with good grip and these did the job in last week’s icy conditions. But these are definitely winter snow boots and not a fashion statement. However, I do like the way they look and have worn them out to our local pub. I’m super happy with this purchase and I tried and returned several more expensive brands before settling on these. Sorrels are definitely cuter but not as comfortable or warm as these. And I can walk through mud and then just hose them off!

Bogs Women's Arcata Knit Water Proof Insulated Winter Snow Boots
Nice. I wear a 8.5 wide womens shoe because I wear orthotics. So, I purchased a women's size 9. They fit surprisingly well. My orthotics do not move around. They stay in place. They fit pretty good on my foot too. I wear merino wool socks. They are warm and putting them on and off is easily done! I love the cut out handles on them to do so:). When I walk they do not slip on my heel either. The bottom tread is great for snow. Good traction and push off. I purchased them to wear in cold weather and out in the snow. I have gaiters (and snow pants) to wear over the upper part if the snow is deeper then the top of the boot. But on average they work we'll in snow. I'm happy with my purchase and plan on getting a pair in grey. My original purchased boots are in black. The black color is true black and goes with my snow pants and jeans well. Again, I'm satisfied and am purchasing a grey pair!

NOT SLIP PROOF ON ICE but otherwise perfect
First off let me say I love these boots. Love. Sooo cozy and comfy and cute. My biggest issue is these claim to be slip proof but are NOT. Once the ground is icy I SLIP and slide. I live in a snowy area so ice is part of the deal. I called the company for advice on the matter and comparing how my husband’s Bozeman style grips the ice like crazy. The customer service rep just said he’s never heard any complaints like this. Perhaps my “glacial grip” tread is faulty? Is my Utah ice more slippery? It’s hard to believe I’m the only one noticing this. Perhaps I’m the only one concerned about it. For $160 I would like to be slip proof on ice. Just a heads up about this boot. It really is perfect in every other way. Just be cautious around ice.

So soft and squishy
I really loved these. I tried these on a couple of years ago, but they weren’t what I needed at the time, so I didn’t get them. I kept thinking about them, though, until I needed new snow boots. I am an 8.5 in boots and shoes. Following recommendations I ordered the 8 and they were perfect. They slide on easily , yet feel secure. The toe box is generous, without feeling sloppy. They are squishy and fuzzy and practically perfect. The furry cuff helps to keep snow out. My feet are very sensitive, so I tried them on at different times of day, walking around the house. Standing and sitting, they felt just like slippers. The way the toe curves up was painful to me, when walking, though. Very sadly, I sent them back. I don’t expect most people would have the same issue, though. I definitely recommend them.

Amazing!
I spent 6 weeks in Quebec City, Canada, in Nov-Dec to write a book - where it was so cold I could force myself to stay inside. But I needed to exercise by walking every day. These boots are amazing! I would walk for 1 to 2 hours, sometimes longer around Old Town, in 10F in snow, slush, frigid temps -- and my feet never ever got cold wearing only a single pair of wool socks!

Looking for warm winter boots that are great for snow play as well as walking. I have only worn them a few times but warm and comfortable. I did slip on the ice but what boots are made for ice. True to size .

great boot
I love this boot. I have short wide feet with extremely high arches, and finding boots that fit and have arch support is very challenging. These fit me great, and are SO comfortable and warm, they are my go-to boots for winter. Even though they're lace up, there's enough "give" in the boot shanks so I can pull them on using the built-in side handles. They are the best, and well worth the price!

They are supposed to keep feet warm down to -20 but my feet sometimes still get cold.
