I like using melamine over steel or nylon. The product is rigid, a good size and will not scratch any pots or pans. THese will periodically crack if you catch it closing a drawer due to the slots so be careful in this regard.

I really like these serving utensils although I do hate that they're easy to break I have a hard time trying to find the slotted spatula
