Well worth the cost when you want cable consisting of a durable sheath and excellent quality conductors. The bargain spools you see simply don't compare to the quality you get with Ancor. Do it like a pro with Ancor!

Always A Square Deal

Going back several years now, I have been purchasing "Ancor Marine grade wire" on Amazon in various gauges from 2 awg to 10 awg. I recently received my latest order of 50 feet , 2 awg , black. BIG and HEAVY wire! After a couple days, I decided to verify the length. I unspooled it and it was exact. Same as every other order; Right on the money, and of top quality and reliability. It is WORTH the price. And the way it always should be!

Something is different about this product

I have been using ancor products for over 30 years. The "red" jacket is closer to being pink. The wire is stiff and not as flexible as normal. The labeling on the Jacket does not contrast well and is hard to read.

Great quality, easy soldering

Pre tinned 18 gauge marine standard wiring, Used to add separate power to my Motorcycle heated clothing. Easy to use, and solder, good quality insulation, should keep my heated kit running on the bike all year round. Its a bit expensive, and took a few days to arrive.

En general se aprecia un producto de muy buena calidad, sin embargo mal detallado en la información del producto, fue mi error el no ir a las fotografías de otros compradores o hacer la conversión de pies a metros. El error es el siguiente 18'(54.8 m)justo como aparece la selección en amazon, sin embargo son 18'(5.5 m). Bueno pues no hay de otra que utilizarlo, lo bueno que me alcanzará para mi instalación(será para unas barras led Nilight en exterior)

Great quality wire.

Good corrosion resistant cable. I cut it, crimped lugs onto it and used the cables in parallel to my old 0 gauge cables to tie large 2 volt cells together into a battery and then over to a power inverter. All seems to be working well with quite minimal voltage drop on the system when large loads are applied.

Great quality product! I have never had a complaint about Anchor wire.

Used in re-wiring my boat. Being flexible, it pulls easily through winding passages and solders onto the terminals well. The solder soaks back into the cable a bit to reinforce the termination and make it stronger especially in the heavier gauge wire. The insulating sheath takes heat well. Two thumbs up!

Just a bit big for standard wire stripper

I found the fine conductors to be a bit big for a standard, solid wire, stripper. I bought #12 wire and my Klein stripper nicks the conductors. Not good, if using it in a vibration environment. It can lead to premature strand breakage. Someone needs to make a stripper for stranded wire. Otherwise, this is really nice wire. CSA rated type TEW , so you should be good to go for wiring equipment that has to pass Canada Code as well.
