They’re okay

The material is super stiff, but the shape is cute. Just hard to get on/off to go to the bathroom

Stiff

First these run a little small Second they are stiff I was hoping after the first wash or two they would start to loosen up and not be so stiff but they have not they are the stickers pants and the color on them bleeds horribly to the point they died my skin and I could not get the black off of my skin I was suggested to soak them in vinegar and there’s still stuff and they still bleed

Theyre ok

American Apparel always had my favorite shorts, they were exactly what I wanted. Now that they are owned by Gildan, these are nice too but I wish they were still made in USA and had a smaller waist. These are quite boxy (still look good), but they used to be more form fitting. I still wear them, the fabric is very durable and the wash is perfect.

Actually high-rise. Actually cotton. Not best for wide hips.

Great heavy and solid fabric. Classic cotton jeans that are thick much like a vintage wear. Wide hips and big booty beware- the stiff fabric doesn’t leave much give for curves, but if you can, by a size large and tailor them down for a custom fit. The fit is *actually* high-rise unlike so many other bottoms that claim they are high waisted but are really mid-rise at best. I have a naturally high waist and these truly hit my natural waist.

Cute thick denim shorts

These are thick shorts. Definitely good quality. High waisted. They were a little stiff when they arrived so I did the trick of wearing them over a few pairs of thick jeans while dropping it like it's hot, and then they were good.

Runs very small

I’m normally a 29. Ordered a size 30 and couldn’t even button them! Very thick material and no stretch at all.

The 32 didnt fit

I have thick thighs and a thick waist the 32 is more like a 30 could barley fit over my thigh

The cuffs are too thick

The cuffs were soooo thick, and the denim was very stiff. I was wanting a stiffer denim but the cuff was like walking around with a brick between my thighs. If I liked the fit, I would have kept them and tried to modify them, but they were also a bit too small (due to no stretch). If you can, I suggest you do the try before you buy option, and get multiple sizes before committing.

Great quality shorts!

Great pair of shorts, the denim is thick and not cheaply made. I can tell they will last me for many years. They fit perfectly (size 27), enough room in the waist and legs. They are simple and classic, love these shorts!

I love these shorts!

First and foremost, I bought the black acid wash 5 years ago at an actual American Apparel store hence I knew what size to purchase online. I purchased the light blue because I love love loved the acid wash version and I figured I'd buy another pair in a different colour. These shorts are very high quality and five years later my original pair (acid wash) are in perfect condition. For those who dont have access to a store front, here is my advice. I am a size 6 in zara jeans, a size 26 in one teaspoon and size 27 in levis jeans. I fit in the acid wash shorts in size 29 perfectly 5 years ago, now they are snug so I upped a size and bought the size 30. The size 30 still fit but a little loser on me then the size 29 and you can see what I mean reviewing the photos. I completely recommend these shorts if you want a good pair of highwaisted jean shorts. The sizing maybe a little tricky cause they run small and aren't stretchy but if you get the right size you will not regret buying them. For a non stretch Jean they are really comfortable!
